Hey there,

Prince is playing in the key of E and within the boundaries of the petatonic scale.

It's an awesome solo!!!

He is using a lot of pent atomic for sure, but there are moments of harmonic minor and Aeolian minor, but just briefly.

Here you go...Eminor pentatonic (or blues scale) with a bit of extra seasoning...

She's always in my hair wins, mainly due to Prince's guitar work on it, IMO its amazing.

I prefer the solo on D'angelos version. I think Raphael plays it. Its just this side of nasty and perfect.

As good, easily. Better in some ways as I am a more technically proficient guitarist. Before anyone gets twisted, that doesn't mean I'm "better". There are a million guitarists who can play things Prince cannot play, but I'd rather listen to Prince because he's musical. I'm a better athlete on the guitar but that doesn't make me a better musician. No hate, just facts.
