I've never had any problems with buying from 3rdEyeGirl before--but this time, I got the link several hours ago, finally tried using it, the download failed, so I tried using the link again (so that would be the second of my three downloads)--and I was told it was expired. I've sent an email to support, so hopefully I'll get a new link and get this track soon.

So--can we assume (since MrMoops says that he and the other horns did their part in the middle of 2012) that whatever's going on with the drums (whether they're good or bad), it probably ain't Hannah's fault?

^Now THAT hits the nail on the head! It's a nice track, a bit of the old fashioned Prince. The horns are gorgeous.

The Hornheadz thank you!!

For those of you curious, this is another 10 horn arrangement.

One pass with muted brass and woodwinds and the other with a standard 5 peice, mostly playing off of each other but sometimes together. (I had almost forgotten about this tune, glad it came out)

The Hornheadz, adds to an already rich sound of the rhythm arrangement of the song! Like the talkbox & the instrumental break @ the end is funkay!!!! It defintely qualifies as an album cut...

Also qualifies as my appointed branding of a...

Weird since I purchased Ain't Gonna Miss U When U Gone with no issues.

It looks like the problem was with Outlook, not the 3rdeyegirl site. http://www.theverge.com/2...ugust-2013

.

Was finally able to download the song smile

.

Really good stuff.

Got it now--nice on a first listen. Alright, actually in the middle of listening. Thought we were all done, and that ending came from nowhere.

It's been over 12 hours for me. Still waiting on the download email. No response from the "support" email either. I did get the account confirmation email. And, yes, I've checked spam, not there either.

If I don't have it when I get off work tomorrow I'm contacting paypal and canceling the order.

I think this is far and away the best track of 2013 so far.

The lyrics are a bit blase, but other than that, I love the vibe, the instrumentation, the production and the arrangement. It's a really visual and colourful song. Sort of has this 'breathe in breathe out' tension/release thing going on throughout the arrangement. Good stuff. His guitar sounds so clean juicy. Awesome use of muted horns with sprinkle of flute to boot.

I'm surprised to see a lot of you are underwhelmed. I think it's great. It's the first song I've heard in a while that I wanted to immediately play again. The lyrics are pretty basic, but they fit for such a light and "groovy" song.

On headphones, there's a part of it that always makes me think my phone is ringing. smile

It's a great song. The beginning reminds me of All My Dreams and there is a middle section which sounds similar to a drum fill in the Sticky Like Glue rehearsal track streamed on 3EGTV.

last drummer to make p`s music sound great in the studio: mike b on planet earth.

that`s a tight drumsound. but this is just a neo-old-preaged mess.not so groovy potential lol

What about Michael Bland and Cora Dunham on 'Lotusflow3r'??

Cora is amazing on 'Dreamer', and Mike on 'Wall Of Berlin'.

oops - yes of course.

YES! when was that....2009?

Cora sounded actually very good all the time.

Exactly what I thought. I could definitely see this song played in 1985.

Oh please. This is a pile of directionless clichés, not a song.

It's not objectively possible that you could like so much Prince stuff before a certain date and nothing at all after it. What post-Gold stuff do you actually like?

Just made a new account but received this message when trying to pay -

The shop "3RDEYE Tunes" does not ship to your address. Please contact the shop owner or use a different shipping address in PayPal.

I added my address to my 3rdeyegirl account but the same thing happens.

I'm in the UK - I presume this song isn't restricted to the US?? Anyone else have this problem?

At the very top of the PayPal page it asks what country you're in. Change it to yours and it'll modify the settings. Mine's started as Canada and I switched it to the US.

Still couldn't get it to work with PayPal, but was able to pay with a credit card.

Really enjoying his raw vocals on this song; they feel "real" and "live" compared to the somewhat sub-dued, or phone-it-in vocals, he has sometimes used on his studio records of late. Also, the organic instrumentation is killer, and very much reminds me of a lighter, airier, variety of the sounds he was going for on TRC/N.E.W.S. All in all, a very promising record, and a greater closer to my compilation Prince/3rdEyeGirl album, which keeps growing!

The root harmonies are simple, yet the layers of guitars and keyboards and horns create completely different, strange and beautiful harmonies on top.

Add to that the tastefully chosen low-frequency "rumble" of the drums (mainly the toms), which however doesn't interfear too much with the bass, and you've got a wonderful production.

I'm very happy he had the trust in a song to take the time and make something unique and tasteful out of it, instead of putting down the harmonies and adding a sung melody with lyrics over it.

I'm really, really impressed!
