I like this kind of Prince. It sorta reminds me of the Lovesexy area. Not musically, but in terms of Humour. Around 87-88-89 Prince's music (Especially live) was full of humour.... Just like this ditty.

really? i think she fits the track very well. i love her vocals. and that "ain't gon' miss u" 'sample'

is very clever imo. i'm sure it's for this track and this track only. it just sounds like it is sampled

ITA! And I hope you're right about P thinking these aren't 'album worthy'. This sounds to me like a B-Side circa the 'Gold' era, or maybe something off Slaughterhouse or Chocolate Invasion. It's okay, but nothing special. But it is so cool seeing how many people love this track and are excited by it! I know I am in the minority on this one.

She's an r&b/soul singer. She performed with Prince and the NPG a couple of times within the past 4 years. She sang with Prince and the NPG on a tv show when he sang "Turn me Loose'(2009), if I remember correctly.

I like the song- I think it was probably recorded in mid-late 2012 too when he was recording alot with different band members and the horn section. I don't think it features Donna and Hannah on the song though (idk just don't hear their style).
