Sorry I'm honestly weirded out, knowing 1. this wouldn't have gotten the love it did from the fans if it didn't have P's name on it, and 2. Janelle and Prince are usually the ones who love preaching about real artist, real music, real musician, real attitude, and real whatever else. They're all about keeping it real. So much for that when they follow the exact same tactic as what labels like Sony is notorious for.

c'mon it was some fans that put on internet this so called prince remix after the streaming...and it's not like an official release it's an homage made for janelle's song...they're not selling it with Prince name on it...

All we got we the track off the livestream with no credits or statement about who did what on the track. A fan ripped it and uploaded it onto Soundcloud and promoted it as such. Mind you it went up yesterday afternoon and was gone by the evening so I think someone addressed it. Then the posts from Hannah and Josh went up.

Well honestly I believe this whole thing was just an accident as much as I believe the camp and Hannah were totally planning to release this under the name of "Janelle Monae ft Badu - Q.U.E.E.N. (Josh remix)", or leak it for that matter. And it seems it's still available on some websites with the corrected title of "Prince/Paisley Park remix", and those ones are somehow not taken down yet.

speaking about Q.U.E.E.N Janelle and Erykah will perform at the Bet Awards this weekend.. finally I'll hear this song live...

I doubt it was an accident. Hannah's husband wants to get some shine from his new association with Prince. I think it was another lame publicity trick and in come the fans to backpedal for these people. If these real musicians would get real maybe they wouldn't need to get their fans to fool people so they can get a little promotion. I can't be the only one mature enough to notice the pattern of confusion surrounding almost anything Prince is associated with. Their target audience must be 12 to 24 yrs olds.

Fantastic news, 2 of my favourite artists coming together. Even if you don't dig her music (I don't know how any Prince fan couldn't to be honest) you have to admit she's brought some thing's back which has long since been missing: class, style, sophistication and vision
