But it has fake diamonds on it! lol

-------- It is a pimp cane and I doubt those diamonds are fake. I hope that you guys are young which would explain the ignorance of your comments.

Let me put it this way, I'm younger than Prince is, but old enough to be a long time fan. A "pimp cane" and a 55 yr old still trying to be a pimp........come on!!! lol

Breakfast can wait is a pretty weak track in my opinion and I dont think it will be on the album but I do think RnR love affair will be there. The highlight will probably be The Breakdown and I also like 2y2d but it sounds better live.

It's weird, because we are talking about him pushing a more rock oriented vibe, but a lot of the music that I've heard so far, isn't really like that. RnRLove Affair & Screwdriver aren't much different than the similar pallet of songs like Guitar

*

I'm definately interested in seeing how this lays out, Breakfast Can Wait, That Girl Thang, and some of the others I've heard (not released) aren't "rock n roll"

I don't think it's very likely that those tracks will be on the album. They obviously don't feature the band, and as you say, they aren't very rock & roll.

Here we are again: Prince gives another interview where the readers have no idea what he is talking about or are left to figure out their own interpretations because Prince won't allow himself to be recorded.

It's spoke of on the Org and the people who don't understand or have their own interpretation of what he said are basically told to STFU, Prince is the best, yadda, yadda.

Prince, like in interviews past, will not clarify anything he says so he is left to leave himself open to any negative criticism from the hardest of the hardcore fanbase. People will say he doesn't care what his fans think but come on, of course he does.

Still holding out for the day that Prince talks like a normal person. I'm not remotely interested in trying to figure out what this interview was about.

Well I think the most critical part of that interview/story from Prince's camp's standpont was:

Tickets for Prince's Myth show are $259 each, on sale through Etix and the Myth box office. Call 651-779-6984.

This newly found availability to the MPLS press is out of necessity to push the 6,000 $259 tickets for his MPLS shows.

I think I was 2 fast as now her full interview has been posted, and yes I agree that the Myth shows r mentioned 4 a reason: http://prince.org/msg/7/397475

Why do so many journalists seem so overwhelmed by him, that they're reluctant (or afraid) to challenge him with real questions??

Jon Bream was probably afraid to ask any of the questions that would push Prince's buttons, since he had been banned from Glam Slam and Paisley Park for ages. He wasn't like DrF who praises everythng Prince does, so Prince didn't want him around. They're obviously looking for publicty for the Myth shows since they haven't sold out, and I would think that would be a little embarassing for Prince.

----------- I am not angry about anything. I am more puzzled by the level of stupidity of some of the comments. If you go back and read I am not the only one who does not understand how P dissed (the Great Music God who's ass must be kissed) Dylan and insulted the elderly in this interview. In addtion, even if he did it has no bearing on my life as it appears to have a bearing on the lives of many clueless orgers like yourself.

I say you must not get out much because you seemed to not even understand what a Pimp cane is or another definition of Pimp. I know it is hard when you are sheltered but let me school you.

Some people define Pimp as a guy who knows how to hustle and make it the world. I think at times P may see himself as a Pimp in that manner which is not considered an insult.

“They are like my kids,” he said. “And I’m learning from them. Young people have the new ideas.”

Is this Prince sort of admitting he has run out of fresh ideas, and needs a lifeline from younger bandmembers of whom he can 'steal' new ideas/riffs and use them as the base of his own new songs, just like he often did back in the 80's (before he dumped The Revolution)?

I don't think it's like that. I think Prince is at an age and point in his career where he's gettting a lot of satisfaction simply from just being able to help bring someone else along. The music I've heard from 3rd Eye Girl makes me feel like this is more of a 3rd Eye Girl project including Prince rather than a purely "Prince" album. He's always liked his proteges, but now at his age, I think helping others establish themselves while maintaining the essence of "real music by real musicians" is more important than ever. Just my guess.

:eyeroll: Here we go. Leave it up to pseudo-intelligent-in-the-know phonies to come stampeding in to sound like they are the ones with the best interest of Prince and not those around him. Give me a break. Don't you think after all these years Prince can decipher who has his best interests and who doesn't? That is why you are here on the internet talking about it, and they are there in his "royal court" with his trust. lol

GoldenParachute: LOL - I think you are making a major false assumption of who has contact or knows Prince. Do not assume he does not have true friends providing their honest support and will speak out publicly. And do not assume who "appears" to have a persons trust because someone is temporarily being provided mentoring. He calls them HIS KIDS. That is not implying trust but implying someone requiring his guidance. And obviously you have an idolism issue because the only "royalty" is Jehovah and Jesus. Prince is merely a man who has been given a gift of talent from God. He is a Christian and out of his kindness of his heart providing people mentoring and opportunities.

Prince has been doing that since the early 2000s when he felt he had to help Chaka & Larry and a few others, because of their place in Music history. A BET interview he was on. Actually if you think about it, he been doing that since the latest 80s (Mavis Staples, George Clinton) and forward, helping those whose career overall wasn't moving anymore

*

And he's been doing the helping/satisfaction thing since Musicology/Planet Earth, right? the Twinz, Tamar, Shelby, and few others

*

I don't know, most of the music outside of Live Out Loud, sounds like Prince:That Girl Thang, Screwdriver, RnRLove Affair, Breakfast Can Wait, and some of the others unreleased/leaked, all that sounds like Prince,

Come on, we all know Prince's pattern, especially where young "women" are concerned, and we all know the kind of satisfaction he's getting from it and them.
