What is Plectrum Electrum?

Plectrum Electrum would be a great name for the new Prince album.

Anyone else thinking this could be the albums title?

According to the vault it's an instrumental composed by Donna Grantis and already on her album "Suites", so I doubt it'll be the title of Prince's new album, though you never know. We don't even know that there will be a new Prince album yet, or have I missed the big annoucement?

Electrum, for those who are interested in these things, is an alloy of gold and silver, and probably not your first choice of materials for making plectrums.

A half-arsed attempt at an update. Appreciated, but would rather have 2 or 3 remixes to Breakfast Can Wait or another new one of equal or lesser quality to my personal taste.

I just purchased and downloaded the Donna Grantis album Suites. Thought it might have Prince involvement, although after the fact I found a review of it and it lists the players - all pre-Prince and non-related.

Oh well...I will enjoy a bit and then file it away with my Dez Dickerson and Rosie Gaines CDs lol

I think Plectrum Electrum is a short film of Prince and 3rd Eye Girl jamming on a Donna Grantis tune, maybe more, too, but we've only seen a couple of minutes of it.

Electrum is a naturally occurring alloy of gold and silver, with trace amounts of copper and other metals. It has also been produced artificially, and is often known as green gold.

If Donna is hair haired (last time I promise) young lady. gah-geous and very talented batting eyes. Ida seems a little older, for both me and Mr. P. I would give a second look though. cool Its about the instruments though. lurking

Which I already said above, so you'd think that it wouldn't have been necessary for you to repeat it, but I guess I'm not taking into account the fact that there are people here in such a rush to stick their oar in that they don't bother their arses to even read the thread. Which is a pity really because they are often, as has been amply demonstrated here, the ones who most need to read what's been said because they might learn some something, like when not to make shit up and post it, or how to distinguish their arse from their elbow. In other news, a Sitar is not a musical instrument, it just rhymes with guitar. Attention span of a gnat, ego the size of a planet.

And while I'm feeling peevish and pedantic, I'd just like to point out that while electrum is naturally occuring it is more correct to simply describe it as an alloy of gold and silver because there is far more manufactured electrum circulating in the world than the naturally occuring version.

Actually, my rant wasn't directed towards you, it was directed towards the non-thread-reading entity you replied to who hadn't bothered to read the thread thereby making it necessary for you to repeat what had already been said before.

However, am I to assume from your reply that you were also unware that I had already pointed out what electrum is? Is this an admission of guilt?

If so, then yes, I think it's the electric chair for you. Your sentence will be a harsh one - not only must you listen to electric chair 20 times (that's on repeat, 20 times in a row, without even a pee break), but you must then listen to arms of orion 20 times in a row. It seems extreme, but examples must be made.
