Prince's return to the uk.will it be successful?.

Yes,his royal Purpleness Prince will return this fall to play uk gigs.(see:-http://www.contactmusic.com/news/prince-planning-intimate-uk-tour_3635453)and after i missed his 21 nights in london in 2007 due to my fathers death (after i bought 2 tickets) i'm hoping for sell out gigs that will result in Prince returning to scotland after his 3 previous gigs in the 1990's at Parkhead,Meadowbank Thistles stadium, and the s.e.c.c. i hope more intimate gigs translates to success. The last time Prince had chart success was the Purple Medley record in 1999 and the brief appearance of Musicology and 3121 in the album charts and im wondering if his lack of Uk appearances apart from The 02 and lack of true success here will result in poor sales or not of tickets.I will follow him all over the UK and if he appears at the new state of the art HYDRO stadium thats more intimate at the secc glasgow it will realise my dream of Prince appearing in my backyard realised. He's still the visionary musician i always thought he was.Better than elvis, and all the other artists the gullible masses listen too its time to re-educate with the rumoured "Plectrum Electrum"album which i have enjoyed very much with some material on 3rdeyegirl.com.So acn he still cut it.london says yes but a Glasgow, newcastle,Birmingham, and london again will be the acid test. But to make it short is he a spent force.I also like Andy Allo and it would be better for Andy to play on the same venue as prince for both andy,3rd eye and Prince.Listening to the material i think he is dumbing it down a bit for new fans. What do you all think about the 3RDeyegirl twist with 3 very sexy 25 yrs old women(i love Hannah Ford).Pussy footing put aside does Prince still have that "pussy control in Britain?.Let me know what you think.Should he stick with tried and tested artists he goes on stage with Like THE TIME,SLY STONE LENNY kRAVITZ or give Hannah(not that im complaining)AND THE 2 OTHER GIRLS A CHANGE.I THINK HE HAS PLANNED THIS TO APPEAR TO YOUNGER TRENDIER TYPES.pRINCE UK SUCCESS OR NOT????.gIVE ME YOUR OPINIONS.All

There is no real reason why Prince playing gigs again in the UK would not be successful.

I can't really remember a time when Prince playing on these shores was not a success. Maybe some venues were less than full at the UK shows in '95, but it's not like they were a failure attendance wise. His music sales may have taken a dip, but he is usually always a big draw gig wise over here. In fact he has probably had considerable success playing live pretty much anywhere in the world for a long time now, in terms of ticket sales.

By the way, I think the rumour of Prince playing here in small venues is just that... a rumour. I could be wrong though, I don't follow his gigging news every day.
