This song came up in the car (I have my car iPod on 'shuffle'). I forgot how intense this song is - and how much I always loved it. I just wish that whole minute toward the end of the song wasn't cut out. Every time I hear the album version, it gets to that part and I always expect to hear, "Can I tell you a story?"

that was sorta near the middle

It does build the intensity but the lyrics didn't work

The Beautiful Ones is probably my favourite Prince song. The extended version is ok but doesn't make it any better.

Oh god, change the title of this thread before Prince sees it and follows your lead!

I personally like the longer version, but then again I am a total fan boy, so there's always that.

Would be awesome to have the long version in perfect quality, as well as all the longer versions of computer blue. While we're at it, Purple Rain special addition? I'd pay $8.88 for that

Fully agree. I go for ages without listening to it, occasionally skipping, but when I have a moment and it stays on I realise how beautiful and passionate a song it is. For me I don't think he's ever surpassed this. Many different beautiful songs but nothing so blatantly emotional as this. Perfection.
