He looked good as always. I like his outfit and sun glasses. He presented the award to Gotye/featuring Kimbra for the song " Somebody that I used to Know". Prince replied: "I love that song". I love prince's voice! |

THERE ARE NO WORDS TO DESCRIBE THIS MOMENT! It's like time stood still just so all could embrace his fine, divine self blessing that stage with his presence alone. I mean, he got a standing ovation as soon as he hit the stage. He stole the entire awards show & he only said two sentences. The power that he commands (& so effortlessly, at that) is just out of this world!
I've been on a Prince high ever since, can't listen to anyone but. I'm listening to everything again with (it seems) a fresh pair of ears!

I, personally thought that both 20Ten and Lotusflower, from 2010 and 2009, were his most consistent, therefore, best, albums since maybe 95's The Gold Experience. Therefore, I cant agree with you, he still makes really good music, for me. Somebody that I used to know was, in fact, I agree, the best pop song of last year. But, over the last decade, Prince has, likewise, released some great standout songs. For instance, Somewhere Here on Earth or Illusion Coma Pimp and Circunstance. Just as good as that Gotye song I would say. As, for the last 20 years, I Love U But Eye Don Trus Yo Ass Anymore, Eye Hate U, Pussy Control, Solo... It just occurred me: Wouldnt it be cool if P would make a cover of Somebody that I used to know live??? He has done the hip song's covers from time to time (One of Us, Radiohead's Creep, Gnarls Brakley's Crazy, Foo fighters' The Best of you - which was WITHOUT A SHADOW OF DOUBT a million times better than their original version, admittedly by the band's own drummer -). I wonder how would he react if the award went to one of those crappy songs like Taylor Swift's or that HORRIBLE SELF HELP STUPID LAME ASS What doesnt kill you makes you stronger - is that so? eat my shit then - Kelly Clarkson. If the lattest won the award and he changed it announcing Gotye's song, then he's appearence would be, not only the steal of the show, but the MASTERPIECE SEXY MF GENIUS all-we-could-expect-and-plus-a-little-surprise Prince we all love.
And, by the way, Kelly won Best Pop Album this year. It's the second time she wins this awards.
