What was Prince's last commercially released vinyl single.

Before the Vinyl revival of the 2000s.

As vinyl really went out of fashion around 1990, when was the last commercially (As in record label produced by NPG or Warners rather than a private or bootleg label) single of Prince's released on vinyl. The latest I know of are Come and Gold experience period.

I mean my 3 latest vinyl 12 inches which are original are

1. Purple Medley (May or June 1995) - US IMport

2. Letitgo - mid late 1994 - France

3. Most beautiful girl - early 1994 - Germany

Until 1990 all of my vinyl is WEA from Australia or New Zealand, after that its all made in Germany or France

I mean are there commercial vinyl singles of Dinner with Dolores or any of the Emancipation singles and then its all quiet until TRC is released as a vinyl album in 2001?

just look up prince's singles on the discogs website and they always

state all the various formats the singles were released in.

It really depends on what you consider the "vinyl revival". A lot of the albums and singles in the 90s had vinyl releases. By the time CDs were well and truly the standard, it was just about time for the "revival". So yeah... hard to say.

I'd say probably the Gold Experience singles were the last legit vinyl releases. I don't recall there being any vinyl releases for Emancipation, C&D, Crystal Ball, NPS or The Vault... So that would make a nice little gap to work with.

It would be interesting to find out how many vinyl units of TGRES actually sold...

it was actually Black sweat on 12" because I remember housequake.com was doing a contest about a Prince trival question and some lady that was a member of npgmc and housequake had won it. it was during the time when 3121 was out and Prince was doing 3121 touring dates with tamar.
