I wore black finger less lace gloves to the purple rain show and in high school. Everyone thought they were cool. Other than that on my black guess jacket had my rude boy pin, and others. But never really wore any clothing like prince.
Those were the days.....
Prince did an interview with a woman at Record World. They talked about whatever, then he asked her: "Does your pubic hair go up to your navel?" At that moment, we thought maybe we shouldn't encourage him to do interviews.

If hairstyles count, I got the dirty mind Jeri curl. Mind u I was a white boy sporting curl activator and moisturizer every day in high school. lol
I bought the box with the black guy on the front. Little did I know it was not made for white folk hair.
It came out nice. All the black girls loved it. Lol. They always had their hands in my hair.
When I told them what was used to it the curl in my hair they said I was lucky I still had hair and I could have ended up bald.

Never tried to dress like prince. However I did try to wear my hair like his during the 'purple rain' days.

I used to have a hat like the one in the "America" video and would wear it over a bandana over my head sometimes. My bandana was leopard print though. I didn't try to dress like Prince though like an impersonator would do though. I would only do particular items from him, another was a big hoop earring in the right ear sometimes, but I also took ideas from other artists too such as dying just my bangs blonde which I got from The Barkays or spiking my hair as high as I could get it which I got from Tina Turner. Then, I'd even have some of my own ideas such as wearing a dangling condom from an earring.

Activator won't make white folks' hair fall out. I've been there and done that too sometimes when I used to have a perm (perms on us is curly). I'd wear it dry and full some days and spray it until it was huge and full of volume. Some days, I'd put activator in it. I'll never forget the brand...Whirls of Curls lol . Other days, I might even get the curling iron and straighten the curl out. When I'd wear that style, my mother used to always say "Why the hell did you spend money on a perm if you're just going to straighten it back out with a curling iron?". Hell, I liked the course texture afterwards rather than just the slick texture of my natural hair. lol

I didn't mean the activator, meant the actual perm. Left it in according to directions, could have been disastrous. I had longer straight (whiteboi) hair

As a teen, I did have some velvet black boots that I liked to wear, along with some black speckled cords an a black top with my symbol necklace. I looked hot.

Yes. Seeing that I am a girl and his clothes were androgynous anyway, I went all out and bought a white ruffled shirt and tight black pants. The kicker though was having my Mom sew white buttons down the side. I had some high heeled boots too. I was completely out of of mind at the time but I had fun and in my mind I was sexy.

No, but once I tried to dress like Imago. However, I just couldn't force myself to smoke in the shower.
