Every entertainer makes themselves up b 4 they go out or per4rm or take pictures. Prince isn't any different then them..rolleyes

It's not about him making himself up before going out and/or performing. That is expected of Prince. My only complaint is the photoshopping that is done to Prince's pictures. Look at the Billboard cover. As you are looking at the picture, his chin on the left side (our left, his right) does not look right. It is off-centered, the shadow under his lip extends too far to our left (his right). It just looks off and isn't natural.

I love seeing Prince made up and sexy. I have no complaints about that at all. He's the only man I have ever seen, that I DO like him made up (eyeliner around his eyes), dressed to the 9s. But the photoshopping is terrible!

I thought i was going crazy when i noticed that too! eek

Some photos use the photoshop a little too much... it has NOTHING to do with Prince, just the way the photo is, like someone did a bad job on it.

Actually, it has a lot to do with Prince: the Billboard cover photographer is the same one he hand-picked for his 2012 Welcome tour books. Her name is Justine Walpone.

I'm in the middle of reading it on my iPad. This cover is his sleekest in years, the glasses make it iconic. The interview is sleek as well -- pretty much a reaffirmation of what he has been saying for ages now, delivered with panache.

As Prince gets closer to owning most of his older material, his ownership message seems to be fullfilled, so he at least recycles his message in style.

The glasses look like a sleeping mask to me, only gold instead of black, cream or white. Prince really brings on the eye candy on the cover, with his eyes looking down, lips slightly parted and chest hair delicately exposed.

I love that he's gone natural with his hair and is leaving the chemicals behind. Prince is a trailblazer, and his originality can never be duplicated. I choose not to read too much into the eye covering because that is one of the great things about this artist. You never know what to expect from him, and he'll always leave a trail of mystery and intrigue to captivate his audience.

Isn't that what musical geniuses do??? They strive to give us a new look and sound that we've never seen before and that is what Prince will continue to do. He is the King of Unpredictability, Self-Expressionist Extroadinare with a Splash of Boldness to titillate the senses. I can't wait to see what else he's got in store!

Enjoy the ride! smile

I hate the cover pic, but this is badazz. Really like.

1. Prince, u don't have to be with a studio to make an album. An album is a cohesive piece of art with theme and progression.

2. Y does it matter if the lawyers are "black female" lawyers. LOL.

If Prince is lamenting that he doesn't have a deal, he should blame himself for not fostering positive business relationships with past labels: Columbia, Arists and Universal. Especially Universal. Prince quit promoting the album after the 3121 album came out, after signing a deal with Columbia to distribute Planet Earth, he gave the album away to newspapers in Europe as a covermount, rendering the sale of the album useless.

The chest-hair got me too as I thought he'd been waxing or thinning it out, judging from those open-shirt photos at Welcome 2 America - there was hardly any left to go around neutral As soon as I saw this cover photo & noticed the thick tuff emerging from his blouse, I honestly didn't know what to do with myself lol Pre-order two copies? Great. My weakness drool

Some of us still like chest hair on men... wink

What is logical about giving us a new look if you're a musical genuise? It doesn't really make sense. However the sound part does make much more sence.

The glasses and vox guitar remind me of this. It is great to see Prince on Billboard and that people still appreciate his genius.

Purple Reign: Prince Goes In On Madonna And Says He’s Not Impressed With Artists Who Remake Songs

Posted on January 25th, 2013 - By Bossip Staff

Prince is puttin’ a few folks on blizzy blast

Prince Slams Madonna In New Interview

Pop icon Prince made noise earlier this week by letting his soul glow on the cover of the latest issue of Billboard Magazine. But the juices, berries and pasta-strainer shades cover art was apparently just the tip of the iceberg.

via THG

Asked by things ended badly between himself and Warner Bros. Records, Prince cites the Material Girl by name, telling the magazine:

“It was always about Madonna. She was getting paid, but at the same time we were selling more records and selling out concerts on multiple nights.”

Madonna and Prince actually dated in the 80s (we know: EWWWW!) and collaborated on “Love Song” off the album “Like a Prayer.”

But the relationship turned sour and Madonna referred to Prince as a “little troll” in 1994.

After telling Billboard how he really felt about Madonna makin’ all the gwap while he was the one putting out the goods, Prince also had this to say:

Prince also takes a shot at Adam Levine and his band in the Q&A, referring to Maroon 5′s cover of “Kiss” last year and asking:

“Why do we need to hear another cover of a song someone else did? Art is about building a new foundation, not just laying something on top of what’s already there.”

Sounds like Prince has no love for anyone out here in these streets! However, re-makes have contributed to the success of many of today’s artists and seem to generally do well in the mainstream sense. Do you agree with Prince?
