I don't understand why everyone thinks "She's always in my hair" is so great, it's just "OK" to me. I'm not a fan of "Erotic City" either. It's funky but I don't care for the lyrics.

I think the 12" version of "I wish u heaven" is silly and nowhere near as good as the album version.

I also don't like the 12" version of "America", I think it should have faded out at about the 8 minute mark.

On a more positive note, I enjoy his 2000's output. Maybe not as much as I like his earlier works but I like them nonetheless.

Making love and music are the only things worth fighting for.

Well, let's just say it is better than his other movies! lol It's a good movie. I love when Prince says, " Ma"

I have actually dropped a lot of Prince Bootlegs.....and maybe even shared one or two....

But I have bought every one of his albums

..even the ones I bought and attempted to drop from NPGMC

(attempted as in paid for and dropped to a Cybercafe computer but was unable to take them off the HD ..even with the guy running the cafe's help!!)(gee I was dumb...I think in hindsight he may have kept them for himself)

(but it is OK ..I dropped them last year once again...yes illegally....but I feel Ok about those, as I had paid for them....and Slaughterhouse,The Chocolate Invasion, C-NOTE, One Night Alone and Xpectation are essential for any fan!!)

Still looking to get a REAL CD version of The War

I find the whole pimp cane, pimp suit, and pimp slang rediculous on Prince. And the whole "wrecka stow" type talk he's done for years. It works well for Morris because it looks natural on him and even though the whole Morris persona was Prince's creation, it doesn't work well for Prince. It just looks like he's copying Morris.

I was just saying that the other day. ABSOLUTELY agree.

ahhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmm...how does Prince get to walk on water in your eyes.......firstly how does he fit in there and .................ummmmmmmmmm you can get drops for that sort of thing...and Im sure the problem (irritation) will clear up in a few days............

enjoyniki said:

I will like (and defend) a song because it is written, composed, arranged and performed by PRINCE(who walks on water in my eyes) and not I like the song and that just happens to be written by Prince. It is an inverse relationship... If Prince doesn't sing it, I probably don't like it. The logical derivation does not apply as noted in my earlier post, just because Prince sings it, doesn't mean I will like it.

Musically, "Adore" is a masterpiece, but lyrically is a piece of rotten cheese drowned in poo

I wish there was an instrumental vault version or something

Time for a real shocker eek

I listened to Exodus for the first time today, I had only heard Get Wild previously. A friend sent me a copy back in August but I never got around 2 listening 2 it. Have to say wasn't missing much, too many segues and morose raps. They use the F word quite liberally too, still I love Get Wild, The Exodus has begun and Big Fun.

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

So disagree, awesome song and awesome lyrics. ,

"The 1st time I saw u, I knew u were the one, that night I had to call u I was wrapped until the sun came up, telling you just how fine u were, in a word u were sex, I loved my cool attitude you took, my body was next, u made love 2 me, like u was afraid of me, was I the first, was I ur'e every fantasy" Rotten cheese drowned in poo - oh hell naw!

But thanks for helping me stick 2 my diet, the poo and cheese reference will put me off eating anything dairy based for a while.

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

Alright. I get the point. There are different opinions here. neutral This must not be tolerated! eek

I hereby baptise you 'troll' in the name of the potato-haters. Someone's sure to be along shortly so I may as well beat em to it.

As much as I like a barney, I agree with everything you said. To me, ATWIAD is a classic among classics. Every track, no exceptions. I love it. I can understand people not going much on She's Always In My Hair but for me it's one of those 'memory lane' tunes and I like it. Erotic City, well... Mustard.

More P Confessions:

When I first bought it, I hated every track but Raspberry Beret on ATWIAD.

I stole many Prince covers. Tapes, CDs, Videos, etc. Even nicked a SOTT album cover just for the sticker once. I bought everything too though. Just nicked paper and card really. Chucked loads of it years ago.

I stole my first bootleg tape in '86.

I sound like a proper little tealeaf but I'm not.

I've farted more than once in more than one afterparty. Sorry. boxed Damn near shit my pants at one of em. (ATWIAD and Party Up)

I've recorded things I shouldn't have been recording... My farts.

I wrote an article on P when I was 17 about P being a 'millionaire at 17'. By the time it was published the Editor had chopped it to shit.

I write too much bollocks on P sites when I should be sleeping.

Like Schlomo, a confession about steeling Prince stuff:

I once stole the fat box 2-cd-cover, to the Sign O' The Times cd's in my local shop. I had bought those 2 cd's earlier in a different cover, 2 "normal" jewel cases. And without the sticker.

I am not proud but I had to have the fat box with the lightblue heart sticker - instead of the 2 seperate cd jewel cases.

It's not okay, so... no I can't justify it.... boxed

It's okay. The heart sticker justifies it. I understand perfectly.

Similar to thedance.

Back in the day, did not have 2 pennies to rub together.

Walked into "our price" music store, opened a 1999 cassette, and "cleverley" took the liner notes and hid it in my pocket.

Why? I had to have the lyrics to all the tracks

I haven't paid for a Prince release at a wrekka stow since Rave and The Vault came out in 1999.

I have the CDs from the NPGMC: Rave In2, and 1 night alone demos... and the 1 night alone box set plus also have 4 musicology CDs that I got at the concerts.

Other than that, it's all been by "other means." I justify this by paying high concert ticket prices, and not paying for bootlegs (which also come via "other means").

Now the RIAA is gonna be knocking on my door. Great.

He never said nothin bout her having a brazilian. Back in '85 there weren't many brazilians knocking about. More the 'Dave Lee Travis look' downstairs.
