Prince is starting to show his age by not moving with the times and accepting this is how things are now - I know many will D/L for free - but I think most of us like to buy the official stuff anyway, for our collections. And a Bluray Concert DVD would be ever so nice...............

So the story goes Prince was on vacation with the girl and then Funkenberry got an email from 3rdeyegirl on New Years Day. Same day as 2013 gonna be BIG! 3rdboobgirl had pic of Prince on vacation..you know those kind of pictures and wanted $ for them. Couple days later the twitter acct appeared and the new music. Negotiations are on going!!!!

Yes. According to DrF that is what he was told, that fans could watch the DVD concert footage at PP. DrF also asked that since fans got the free content from 3rdeyegirl, do we think we should have paid for it?

Also asked if 3rdeye should pay for it for giving it away for free. I think 3rdeyegirl should pay for it, because she is the one who posted it for free. But however, if 3rdeye pays P and the NPG band members for it, then maybe P will allow 3rdeye to sell it to the fans or he can sell those same tracks to the fans himself, because I believe, fans would pay for it.

Also, if I remember clearly, DrF states that if fans would be down for a website, as it seems P may want another down the road, but apparently prefers fans run it, and asked what type of music, etc., we would like on there. and would we/how much would we pay for the music or should there be a membership-type fee? Looks like he's interested in fans' opinion about this. What do you think?

I think most fans just want one paricular place they could purchase Prince music/material, etc. Also about what DrF said about fans probably will only be able to see concert DVDs at PP only, maybe that may change later. You never know.

As far as shows at Paisley? With my budget, work, and travel plans, I need at least 6 months notice to plan such a thing. As it is, I need to get my vacation request turned in at work any day now. I'm sure it'll be to late by the time he announces anything, so, no thanks.
