What was the deal with this track? Did Prince have a thing for this song? Ive always wondered why, not only did it show on TWO albums, but it was even included in the scandalous EP, which was from the Batman album!

it never gets a whole lot of love on here. people don't seem to mind it but it's not often

that it gets a whole thread by itself.

but it should. i've always considered it one of his very best ballads. it's phenomenal.

i don't listen to it too often because i know that when i do put it on, i'm stuck again and

i have to listen to it at least 10 times on repeat.

in fact, for me personally it's not just one of his best ballads, it's one of his best songs.

i'm sure he liked it a lot since he put it on so many releases, plus, remember, it was a

single as well in 1994. it even had a 'video' of sorts.

thanks, but that confirms that he had a thing for the track, because he didn't want to leave it shelved with the Black album and not be released, potentially.

To me, it's always been a Lovesexy track, although not strictly true, but thats how I first listened to it. It's just strange how it's been used.

I totally agree, balletic and pure sounding, yet so dirty. Its pure anthemic Princesex. I have always loved this song and its in my personal Top 5 of all Prince songs.

I guess he liked it. Other songs have also been on more than one album (considering at the time of Lovesexy, TBA was unreleased).

I agree with IstenSzek, it's one of his best ballads. It's mushy, but still a little off-kilter too - where as later he just tends to stick with mushy a lot for ballads.

Just keep in mind, this is not an actual, Prince nor Paisley Park video!!!

This was done by some genious at Warner Bros. in 1994, who played the song through a dvd player and recorded the closed captioning. Seemed like a jab at Prince (mistrancsribed lyrics and ALL!), for his unwillingness to promote the Black album. Which he only gave to WB, to help get him out of his contract at the time.

IF (hopefully that's a big 'if') you believe Prince would put out crap like this, for such a beautiful song, you'll believe anything!
