What´s with this constant Bart bashing lately? Totally off topic and uncalled for, and remember we had a thread dedicated to Bart not too long ago that got moved to the site discussion forum.

I´m not necessarily a Bart "fan" and he can surely speak for himself but he´s making some valid points and if this is a Prince fansite there should be room to also voice some criticism. It´s healthy for this website (and for Prince).

Back to topic...I said it before and I´ll say it again, I have to agree with Bart here. It´s not that I really dislike this version but it is by far one of the weakest versions since he started playing it in this arrangement in 2002. I don´t get why he´d choose this version over all the other, in my opinion more interesting versions he´s performed since 2002 but I guess a freebie is better than nothing.Still, if this is a fansite any comments, including negative ones, should be allowed. You don´t have to be a movie director to discuss movies in movie forums, right?

Because he's been nothing but negative since I've been on this site, and I've been here since Day One. I, personally, am tired of the guy's BS and if it were up to me, he'd be permanently banned.

He has a personal vendetta against Prince and this website is not the place for him to execute that vendetta.

If you've watched the video, you know Prince didn't spend "minutes wanking how great he is". He spent about 5 seconds urging on the crowd, and it was after the solo was over.

I'm all for criticism (especially constructive criticism) but Bart's not about that. Bart doesn't hate Prince's music - Bart hates Prince. As far as I'm concerned, he needs to be run off this site for good.

I'm not going to hijack this thread but I will say that lots of people have been permanently banned in the past. muffdiver, SlamGlam, etc. So permanent bans are nothing new.

In Bart's case, I think it's justified because the guy has a personal vendetta against Prince. He obviously has no interest in Prince's musical output. Who cares the reason why, it's just my feeling that personal vendettas need to be taken elsewhere.

Not that anyone cares, but I really, really like this version of ICNTTPOYM over the original. I like the SOTT movie version well enough but the song works better slow for some reason.

1) The name of a band with Ida, Hannah and Donna, working with Prince.

2) Possibly another band member or Drfunkenberry

3) Some think it's Prince toying with fans. Well, the 3rd letter in his name

I won't go THAT far. But this new interpretation does indeed rock, that I will agree.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned yet that this was nicely filmed. I would definately buy this concert DVD if it actually was released.

well it's not so much just this video as the implications made by it's posting.

I am under no illusion - 2013 will be a great year for the serious afficionado. With some are failing to see, which is part of the enjoyment, is that Prince has always been the consumate "silent" joker. Do you remember the old story of when he stuffed a make-believe jacket with a knife sticking out of it, all to give the impression that the person supposedly wearing the jacket was dead? He has what would be called dark sense of humour.

However, regarding money, I entirely agree with you. It could not be in any poorer taste the main question he put to his fanbase regarding how miuch would they be willing to spend, regardless of the venture. Prince has never been particularly cultured. I understand he did not come from money, nor was he brought up with a strong sense of etiquette. Nonetheless, it is a major faux pas on his part that he could even dream of asking such a crude question. The fact that he can't see that also speaks volumes that , even with all the money in the world, you simply can't buy class.

On this latter issue, I would suggest that he questions whether his conscience is clear and, if not, then he is well advised to take steps to grow up, spiritually speaking of course.
