I'm convinced that 3rd Eye Girl is the name of the all female band of Hannah Ford, Ida Nielsen and Donna Grantis. The clues from Dr. Funkenberry that maybe Hannah or Donna leaked the 4 songs that was taken off YouTube this week and the picture of Donna posing with the guitar and the colors of the 3rd eye girl logo makes it apparent that this is Prince's idea to promote the concept. Can't wait to see more.

Obviously cannot speak for Bart (not that he needs anyone to speak for him) but for someone to spend around 10 years coming onto a site and basically slagging off everything Prince does has got to mean he aint never gonna forgive him!

Bart must have really devoted a lot of himself to Prince. There must have been some real love and hard work to develop and maintain the website (as I said, it really was a good site). If I was bart I would have probably felt pretty betrayed too (all he wanted to do was return/spread some of the love to Prince).

I just don't know why Bart insists on subjecting himself (and others) to his anger after all this time. He clearly loves others artists very much too so why not switch allegiance/effort to them?

I have nothing against Bart. Clearly he is intelligent but he does like to troll a bit on here. Those who have not been around as long as other (ahem, people like me) tend to bite when bart does his thing.

... but the solo really is just a variation of the solo that's on the original recording. How is that just "wanking"? I found it interesting. It's the type of a thing that musicians do to keep themselves interested in their older stuff.

At 5:06-5:12? Yeah, there's a similar part on the original solo as well (I'm comparing it to just the live version on the SOTT film as of writing this as its readily available for streaming and I'm too lazy to get the CD). It's not the same, but similar enough considering the different tempo and the change of the register for the solo. His picking isn't very clean on it, but what he does during that part isn't the type of "shredding" that I usually see people calling "wankery" (it almost sounds like he's simply playing a chord really roughly).

I do agree you with the "boasting" part being irksome, but it's not like I'm not used to that from him by this point. I'm not really that fond of this performance on the whole.
