Best Outro's... Wow! I think everyone has posted the ones that I thought of, but here's my list anyway (in no particular order):

1) Play in the Sunshine

2) Irresistable B-tch (the extensive drum-roll and fall back into the groove, then fade)

3) Power Fantastic

4) Purple Rain (of course)

5) Let's Go Crazy

I'm always suprised by how much I like the last 25 seconds of When U Love Somebody.

I dislike the Emancipation album a great deal, but I really like the outtros on In This Bed I Scream and My Computer.

i think the outros on "SST" and "Beautiful Loved and Blessed" are the best parts of those 2 songs.

And not just because they're over

I have always liked that the outro on the Madhouse track, 8 was the intro to 9 and also sped up to intro U Got The Look.

I for got about "In This Bed I Scream." Great choice. That outro reminds me of the reverb in Computer Blue.

Anotherloverholenyhohead is a great choice. I always imagined Prince and the band jamming away, but the fader was merely turned down.. I wonder how many times these arbitrary fades have been used, when in reality the song continued into yet deeper realms of coolness..

The performance of 'The Ladder' during rehearsal that was shown on that late 80's BBC documentary is something I'd give my right arm to hear the rest of..it fades out just as Eric's sax kicks in, and it sounds fantastic...such a cool vibe.

How Come You Don't Call Me Anymore isn't blessed with an outro as such, but Prince keeps singing right to the end..making you concentrate to catch every last word. I like it when songs do that, it's such a tease, as if the singing went on for alot longer but you're just not privvy to it!
