INTERNATIONAL LOVER

RADIO never plays INTERNATIONAL LOVER anymore....

PRINCE unleashed that song in 1982, and that's arguably the greatest slow jam of all time

6 minutes of sheer sensuality done in the most beautiful way

I was 10 years old when that song was released and I was so amazed by it, and still am to this very day........

it's a shame we don't have love songs/slow jams like this anymore.......

er

It's a shame that we do! I agree with you about it being one of his best slow songs, but for some reason he feels compelled to put a song like that on each and every one of his albums and stuff like Better with Time just puts me 2 zzz

It's a very sensual song, a pure wellness, an awakening, a journey, a "voyage" in the land of Joy, in music..

sometimes, I even laugh when listenning to Prince singing it

I imagine him saying "on board the A380," nayyyy, this wouldn't sound sensual such as B747..

wink

lol lol lol

International Lover similar to Better With Time??

International Lover Lady Cab Driver Do Me Baby If the Kid Cant Make U Come Temptation If I Was Ur Girlfriend & Lovesexy are similar in direction to me, what other songs are like International Lover??

the direction with the sexual expression at the end that makes these^ similar

I always liked to call the song "A 6 minutes Orgasm" lol

when I first said that, I was too young to know what an Orgasm Was haha, Now I know and I Agree with the Little me.

I have to admit back in '82 I thought that lyrically the song was ridiculous and an anti-climactic (pun intended) ending to his best album to date -- especially that monologue at the end. However now I appreciate it more having understood that not only was it a bit of a parody, but was actually written for Morris to sing.

Rather than call it a lesser version of "Do Me, Baby", I see it in the vein of "If the Kid Can't Make U Come"
