The energy in this field's been known to flicker lights, aight

Asong with no name, acapella moans and a bridge of silence

Undeterred nevertheless a masterpiece on butterscotch thighs

Turn off the lights, turn off the lights

It's time for Mr Go

Prince likes that fact that it's empowering the people, not the government. He doesn't do politics. The only government that will (can) help us is God's (Jehova's)
Prince did an interview with a woman at Record World. They talked about whatever, then he asked her: "Does your pubic hair go up to your navel?" At that moment, we thought maybe we shouldn't encourage him to do interviews.

He did say on Tavis (2009) that he does stay abreast at political issues. I'm assuming he watches debates, news etc but Jehovah's don't vote so he doesn't vote.

What's wrong with the world today?
Things just got to get better
Dear Mr. Man, we don't understand
Maybe we should write a letter, yeah, so look

Listen, ain't no sense in voting, same song with a different name
Might not be in the back of the bus but it sure feel just the same
Ain't nothing fair about welfare, ain't no a*sistance in aids
We ain't that affirmative about your actions till the people get paid

Your thousand years are up, now you gotta share the land
Section 1, the 14th Amendment says
"No state shall deprive any person of life
Liberty or property, without due process of law"
Mr. Man, we want to end this letter with three words
We tired a-y'all

Tired, tired
Said we're tired, we're tired
Dear Mr. Man
Hey, what's wrong, wrong with the present day?
Man, just gotta get better
Dear Mr. Man

The greatest live performer of our times was is and always will be Prince.

Remember there is only one destination and that place is U
All of it. Everything. Is U.

another quote:

See the man cry as the city
Condemns where he lives
Memories die but taxes
He'll still have 2 give

Whoever said that elephants
were stronger than mules
Come 2 the park
And play with us
There aren't any rules
In Paisley Park

elephants & mules - republicans & democrats,

I am not so sure what Prince meant with this though..?

i think he's making a point about the futility of the 2 party system and putting all your faith in either of them, ultimately they both fail to deliver. prince's most convincing politics have always been about the heart, paisley park is a beautiful manifesto to live by.

don't play me...i'm over 30 and i DO smoke weed....
