I'm not saying he should go all Anderson Cooper, eventhough I think AC is really great looking. No one but Prince knows if he's that gray at all.

As I said, he should gradually increase the gray in his hair not go shock and awe.

As a woman, I will probably still be coloring my hair at 55, so if Prince chooses to that's totally understandable. Not just because I do it, but because it's understandable.

I'm just saying that it doesn't bother me in the slightest that he is 54. I'd still find him sexy as hell with gray in his hair. I'd rather see him with gray in his hair and with his hair more natural than foppy wigs and runny hair color.

REAL HAIR FOR REAL MUSICIANS!!! headbang

If this is p without his hair piece why would he wear one at all. You can see in this pic that his hair is not the thin.

Other pictures at this event show it more. But I believe it is fine/thin hair which makes it hard to work with, thus the need for a hair piece to do elaborate hair styles. And if you think Prince doesn't wear a piece then how did it grow 7 inches for the next day performance.

I believe by Prince showing up without the hair piece and the next night at a concert wore the piece-basically told us the public I got nothing to hide. He looks cool either way. And looking fly should be the result we all strive for.

Wrong, his hair is wet, brushed back and his gray roots are showing.

He doesn't wear hair pieces, he can fluff up his naps or straighten them out. Balding men have receding hairlines.

wink Prince has all his baby hair laid out... he needs a new colorist. That shoe polish he wears to hide the gray on the temples looks real bad.

I know men and women who have a full head of hair, except that it is thinner and finer-meaning more scalp can show through the hair if their hair is not done right. So elaborate hair styles can not be done. A hair piece could allow that to happen. I might add almost every woman in hollywood uses hair pieces/extensions to get a more fuller look.

I would agree that most men will have the receding hair line or crown bald spot (or both)-but some lucky (I guess) people just get the thinner hair.

John Travolta has been partially bald for probably 15-20 years and we all know about it now-probably not when it first occurred. Just saying. Hair pieces are so much better now.

You are right, but Prince has a nappy head of hair, so it can be puffed up to look fuller. You can do more in terms of style with a nappy head of hair as opposed to someone who has stray hair texture.

Prince has never had a sparse head of hair when he was younger, and I know weaves. Weaves lack movement. Prince still has his hair in a texturized state, they did fluff it up.

Almost all women do wear hair extension and pieces, but Prince's hair has volume and he has a big head too. That massive ocipital bone is legendary. lol

Amen to that.

Y'know...he may not be all that gray. I mean...I'm not that much younger than he and I'd guess I'm 20% gray at the most. But even if he's not terribly gray, his hair has almost certainly lost some pigment - meaning it's not black black anymore. He'd be better served with a softer black color.

Speaking of shoe polish hair color, have you seen James Brown on the NFL telecasts? So bad... disbelief

I am going to say THE SAME THING; I said in the other thread! lol

I always have wondered about his hair! I mean, all of the work he has done to it, is it really healthy? I mean, am sure it is...But it's been permed, and relaxed, and so many things! So if he doesn't have any more hair, I am sure he will do like he said on a live performance of 'Prettyman' in 1999

"Everywhere I go, people stop and stare, they just want to see me swing this pretty hair...If there ever comes a time, that it just won't grow..I do like..Clive Davis and buy some more!"

falloff

That likely tells us, Prince might buy his hair when it does not grow..lol

MAYBE he was just joking, but I believe for the most part, he occasionally uses extensions! The better question is..WHY does he has so many songs talking about his hair??? LOL

The color he uses is flat and looks dull, his hair and skin has lightened and he should be using a more medium-dark brown...

and to me he is gray because the shade of his brows and mustache and are so "off black" it looks more like the shade of old nylons that were "off black" from the 80's...

slate grey brows do not look normal... especially not against shoe-polish black hair.

lol Prince is one breath away from James Brown... Lord I pray he doesn't get crazy like Jermaine Jackson stenciling in his hairline. barf

Funny thing, I think Prince's face would actually look better if he wore his natural color. Most people do not like to see their favorite celebs with a grey head of hair. I think may be easily 30% + grey since he has to color so often. Looks like a good portion the crown (skunk streak) may be grey also.

Besides, Prince is FIONE he can go grey and still look good IMHO. I think we will look better... more refined, like a "Sean Connery" fine. Prince can pull that off. nod

I absolutely think his natural color would be the way to go. Or...if he can't stomach that, the lighter color and highlights he wore in the mid-90s looked nice, too.

Shoe polish looks good on no one.

And you know good and well his chest hair is graying, too - hence all the "chest piece" necklaces he wears now. lol

Not that there is anything wrong with the fact that he is graying. It happens to everyone. (Well...everyone who doesn't go completely bald.) To all those in denial, I will just say this: his pubes are going gray, too.
