hmmm

The first one that came to mind is "Dance On".

I will honestly say that there are too many to name and thinking about it, this thread has made me realise just how amazing Prince kicks off a tune from goosebumps of the opening Purple rain chords to the psychotic wail of
Gett off...

So my answer is....the majority of all his songs

Oh. And "Shy".
And that version of Soul Psycodelicide that starts with George Clinton's voice. That one ROCKS.

But most of all; the original, unmixed intro of Joy In Repetition. That lone beat... dayum...

Probably the intro to Let's Go Crazy. The chords, the lyrics about the shrink and the beat, it sounds so unique and interesting. It catches my attention everytime.

"Dearly beloved..."
That started it all for me. It blew most people away let's face it. An intro heard for the first time is something very special. An intro knowing the song is judged differently.
But what someone above said about the huge number of great intros he has, yes you're right smile
