Illustrated? More like, "A timeline of Prince's life with some stock graphics cut and pasted." (See what I did there?)

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

and he has played "1999" since 1999, so he didn't really retire the song.

and yes a nickname is not the same as a pseudonym

Covers =/= collaborations.

Nicole Oran and Anna Westbury - send them to the glue factory.

The greatest live performer of our times was is and always will be Prince.

Remember there is only one destination and that place is U
All of it. Everything. Is U.

I found problems with everything from 1984 on:

Was the PR film inspired by the album? Nope

GB is the film version of the album? Umm nope.

I don't think they understand the concept of "soundtrack albums"

As someone else posted: Nicknames =/= pseudonyms

As someone else posted: Covers =/= collaborations

As someone else posted: 1999 has been played since 1999

Trademarks =/= What SNL parodies

2005 collaboration with Stevie Wonder? It was some limited guitar on one song! Is that a milestone in his career?

The grammy list is meh.

This list is why people still ask me "is he still going by that symbol thing?"

What highlights did they miss?

The Oscar, changing the name to and from the symbol, playing the Super Bowl, having the top 2 chart spots in 1986 (kiss/manic monday), giving away the CD with a concert ticket, something about the WB dispute/artists rights, the NPGMC.

My $0.02

I agree, this is a flop and poorly written. His statement when talking about 1999; he stated something to the fact that it would be able to play this song legitimently and the year is retired not the song. DUH
