Patrick Stump the former lead singer of Fall Out Boy admires Prince. You can watch his covers of I Wanna Be Your Lover and Kiss on YouTube, they're pretty cool. In an interview when talking about how bullshit the information on Wikipedia can be sometimes, he said that whoever writes his Wikipedia page can put whatever they want about him as long as they put that he is a huge Prince fan in there somewhere

Please forgive my ignorance, but who is he?

Looks a lot like Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters, who did a great cover of Darling Nikki, which had great drumming and guitar playing mixed much louder than Prince's version. Dave's vocals are by far the low point of the cover, however. You may also know him as the drummer in Nirvana. Prince covered the Foo Fighters song "Best Of You," in the Super Bowl performance a few years back.

Well apart from Cee Lo, Alicia and Kravitz (is he still relevant?) I haven't a clue. Being British probably doesn't help. Add to that my being white and over forty and, well, you can guess the rest.

Obviously "Rock's Best Rhythm Guitarist" is an easy one to spot. Coupled with the fact that they are headliners at every British festival it would seem (seen the Foos at V and Isle of Wight!).

am well aware Prince doesn't celebrate his B-day boo boo,has nothing to do with me celebrating it..As far as what D is smoking has nothing 2 do with Prince even though 'm sure its just a cigarette....

Dave Grohl, drummer for Nirvana and lead singer for Foo Fighters.

Dave Grohl (Grunge/rock), Eric Clapton (blues), George Clinton (funk), Dhani Harrison(???), Pete Townshend (rock), Tupac (hip-hop) and Tom Petty (folk) have all said positive things about him. I think it's amazing how wide an audience he has.

I will say those are all great artists that admire him. As far as "has-beens", I can't comment on that. I will say that The-Dream and Miguel are popular artists that are doing their thing on in hip-hop/R&B/Pop market right now as we speak. Miguels track "Teach Me" sounds like a Prince cut. The-Dream has a handful as well. I dig D'Angelo and Alicia Keys... whom have made great albums and I'm sure their journey isn't over.

D'angelo has resurfaced this year and he's off the hook live. Prince himself has said that he digs Alicia Keys' music. Andre 3000 is hardly your normal, gangster hip-hop guy. I would also add to the list ?uestlove.

know all about D's smoking habits.Been following his career every since the beginning. But that still doesn't mean he was smoking weed or whatever else U want to call it in that pic. Plus weed doesn't let that kind of smoke out.That is a "fag" he is smoking.
