It's not suppose to sound like it could in a studio, etc...There will always be something missing and off, that's why they rehearse.

FOR a rehearsal, it sounds pretty decent. The song has never been one of my favorites, BUT this spin on it.. is pretty FUNKY!

His voice and direction here...I like! I like it when he sounds like this..Haha

It's not as bad as some people are making out of it. IMO

As far Shelby J, I use to have a BIG problem with her. But now, I have begin to love her, and respect her vocals for what they are. SHE'S A WONDERFUL VOCALIST....Sometimes she seems to be overpowering, (I can't help but die laugh and enjoy "Put your hands UP!!!") but for the most part she is playing the part Prince is paying her too. Haha.

When was the last time you told your boss: "I don't want to do it this way, etc" I am not saying she can't suggest anything to Prince. BUT; he is paying her to do what she does. If he doesn't like something, I am sure he'll make that clear to her. He likes what she does, even if we don't. We are allowed to disagree and he is too.

I never really say this; BUT sometimes..It seems as if people look at EVERYTHING Prince does, and find something he could have added or taken away. That's true for everyone, but it's no secret we are spoiled, and our expectations are yet as HIGH as Prince wishes he was without the heels. Haha

YES, we are entitled to our feelings, and quite honestly..YOU should feel how you feel (For whatever reason, their just feelings..lol), just as long as you put into context, the delivery of his desires. He is just giving us a peak at what to expect from the tour.

This is not a STUDIO MP3. Quite honestly for what it is; it's funky!

Personally, it doesn't have the same effect and replay on me as "The Dance Electric". BUT it sure is something I could use to keep me pumped out. He seems to be polishing and mixing up different songs from the Vault with a new appeal.

Personally, I would like some new material, or older material that we know of, that he has not done in a while. Which is essentially what he is doing a bit now; but I wouldn't mind a bit more of his hidden gems.

THEN AGAIN..I personally feel many of us, are SO used to getting Prince and his music. We have become quite spoiled to what we have gotten. (Think about all he has released, and yet we still want MORE)

Even if we enjoyed something from way back in the 80's, we still hold on to that in comparison to what we get now , thinking it should be just as awesome as what we originally got. That's the problem I think. Just like the problem is for some; that Prince lost his definition of what's funky, and not being able to being told NO. Essentially, we are free to say whatever..I just think context is important. AND considering this is a rehearsal, I think it's not that bad of a let down.

When he performs it, it will be awesome!!!

Interesting . When I go to concerts I don't always know every song but I do know how to move to the groove and that's part of the concert-going experience for me.
