The Morning Papers, yea or nay!

Rock and roll glory or a rip of Purple Rain? You make the call. I think it is a very good song, one of the better ones from Lovesymbol, a very underrate album.

Nice chorus, nice solo, singable lines. Just an overrall wonderful song.

Still in shock this was not a big hit.

All you others say Hell Yea!! woot!

I don't hate it nor do I love it and I am not suprised it was not a big hit. The song did/does nothing for me.

Definite yea all the way!!

This song has really grown on me over the years after hearing it first when was only pretty young, around 9/10 yrs old. At first I thought he was trying to write something with that real New York David letterman band kind of sound with the horns n the arrangement and found it kinda average but alas time and repeated listens have revealed it to be an absolute gem.

Crank that shit up!! one of his finest songs for sure

My guess is since Grunge was really popular at the time, some stylist probably suggested he wear Flannel.

A pure Prince song I'd say.

Love it. I always imagine it in a less polished sound, quite like he would do it in atwiad and parade era.

I did hear Roadhouse Garden yesterday, so let's not forget our priorities, this song is really good, but songs like RG are godly. lol

It almost makes up for what he did to Love 2 The 9s. Almost...but not quite.

I think that might be his comment on the grunge scene based on what was happening in the biz during those years.
