It's not even the worst song on 20Ten, that would be Sea Of Everything or Walk In Sand, those are horrible songs.

When 2010 came out, I had listened to that song once. Today I checked on utube and listened to it again. Well, I thought it was somebody covering Prince. Then I checked another video and found the same song. I still couldn't believe it was Prince, so I checked few more....

Still I couldn't believe it was Prince... lol

Then I had to check my own mp, and I was shocked to hera it is the same original song. I am genuinely shocked how bad this song is. Nothing can ever be worst than this song, even not Andy Hello. Literally nobody.

Do you all agree this is the most shamefully bad song of Prince?

It's gotta be.

'Retarded'? Honestly, can't you damn this song using other words please. Why do some here get careful and precious when talking about certain races, cultures, and backgrounds, but its okay to be derogatory about people with special needs i.e. the most vulnerable in society.

Definitely not his worst song, but it is pretty annoying.

It's not only silly, but the tone is grating on the nerves. At least Graffiti Bridge doesn't bother my ears.

This belongs on a childrens album. I think Cat Stevens, after he became a Muslim, did some sort of children's album. Bob Marleys son did a childrens album too.

The problem is that Prince tries to sell his kids sing along songs to grown adults. neutral .

My dear, you need to look up the word DEROGATORY. You see, Jagar was equating that word with all things rubbish/ stupid/ useless etc. Now, I don't think you would like it if we equated SHORTY, or your real name with everything that was worthless, would you? Obviously thats an exaggeration, but, let me put it this way; I don't think a parent of a special needs child would be happy hearing, every now and then, people describing things and situations as 'retarded'. That would be very demoralising, like nobody cared, don't you think? Have to say, quite surprised that you as a woman have made this point; I would expect it from a young male, cos you know, young males don't really care about much other than themselves. Remember, its not about sympathy, its about empathy.

oh geeze, here we go again. I do not need to look up the word derogatory, you my dear, need to look up the word semantics. If I was a parent of a special needs child, I would never consider them "retarded" there fore I would not connect the word to my child and be offended at hearing it, unless they specifically were referrring to my child (or any other special needs child or person) When you read a label that says "fire retardant" are you offended? should a parent of a child with special needs be offended? NO, ofcourse not.

I do not advocate calling any mentally handicapped persons retarded. ever! But I also don't think the word should be struck from the english language.

'Here we go again'? Hmmm, cos the worlds just gone P.C. mad, hey?! Yes, of course a parent of a special needs child would never consider them 'retarded', but the world is mean and you know that there are people who do. Again, a fire retardant is exactly that, no argument there, although, no doubt, there'd be some who'd look at that and then snigger like they were beavis & butthead. Its a technical/ specific term/ word, in the same way that doctors and other medical proffessionals would talk about mental retardation in relation to a condition/ situation. Thats semantics for you, in the same way that we know that when our org friend was talking about the inclusion of the film clips as being 'retarded', there was nothing technical or specific about it except to say that it was stupid/ rubbish/ pointless, like 'retarded' people! Thats what he was trying to say, thats what the language was connected to, maybe he's just another one of lifes beavis & buttheads. Now do you get the shock horror of his comment? If you don't please don't bother to reply or comment. We'll just have to agree to disagree, my dear.

No, because I've had this stupid (oh? can I say that?) convo before on here. YOU put in the "like retarded people" part! you can not say that is what Jagar meant! IF they had, then this "shock and horror" you speak of would have a leg to stand on, but they didn't soooo there is no shock and horror. rolleyes Now my dear, let's see if you will just agree to disagree.

The conversation above is exactly the kind of thing that I'm talking about; a throw-away, dergatory comment from Uuhson and a sniggering, juvenile response from Shorty. These two should go listen to Ol' skool Company where prince talks about how language can be mean, and also, aptly, talks about his hate for shorty this, and shorty that.

I just realized I've been confusing ELM with There;ll Never B Another Like Me this entiire thread.

How could he put on successive albums: 1 U Wanna C and those two????! I don't get it! Talk about insecure...

Anyway, of the three the only one I can tolereate and see as humorous is actually ELM. I think it's quite tongue-in-cheek in a way that works and is catchy, cool and SHORT. None of which can b said 4 the other two, which I loathe!!!!
