Me, three on Chocolate Invasion.

For me it's things like Xpectation and C-Note, they are the ones out of all the web releases that I would listen to the most. Actually I have not listened to an official release in a very long time, web or otherwise. I may do that tonight.

Choc Invasion and Slaughter have some fun tracks on them I suppose.

Oooooh...I forgot about C-Note. I might have to rethink this...

Some argue that C-Note is more an E.P than an album, it's an album as far as i'm concerned.

To be honest, it might have to be the best purely on the basis of Empty Room.

We're talking about internet-only albums?

I think Empty Room would nail it for a lot of people. It's a good version. I really like the other tracks too though despite them just being jams.

So do I. It's one of my go-to albums when I need to do serious writing: no words going in when I need them to come out.

I definitely dig Chocolate Invasion and Slaughterhouse...with Chocolate Invasion as the favorite.

Xpectation has some really great tracks, but some of the more upbeat ones are too much for me.

Generally I'm not a fan of his instrumental albums but I quite like Xpectation so I think I have to go with that. For me there were too many duds on The Chocolate Invasion and The Slaughterhouse. "Empty Room" is great but I don't much care for the other tracks on C-NOTE. Are those all of his internet only albums?

I don't think that one qualifies as it was given a (limited) cd release.

That was only available to club members though right? ONA only came to NPGMC members, not the retail copy IIRC.

If this counts, then that's my pick, too. It's my favorite Prince album. Xpectation isn't far behind, though..

as much as I love "empty room" (i think i must have listened to the 95 version

at least 700 times), I don't much care for it on C-Note.

the C-Note album is one of my all time post warners releases. those jams are

something else. "osaka/tokyo" is just out of this world.

but then after all that jamming, all of a sudden, boom, there's "empty room"

and it just sticks out like a sore thumb, no matter how good it is.

if he'd released "empty room" some other way and just included another one

of those ONA tour instrumentals, I'd like this release even more.

because, wow, those ONA instrumentals from rehearsals or aftershows truly

are something else.

i would say "high" was the most promising collection as it was intended .. then it got split up and bogged down with some other stuff .. still not his greatest work due to some pretty prepubescent lyrics but also had a lot more potential than a lot of his other internet efforts

high

my mediallion

underneath the cream

sex me sex me not

vavoom

the only thing worthwhile on piano voice was pearls before the swine and a case of u .. both excellent but the rest was filler

my medallion could have been a hit if prince didnt have so many stupid lyrics

high was pretty good as is

underneath the cream was also good minus some bad bevis and buthead lyrics

I'm surprised so may people are mentioning 'The Chocolate Invasion'?

I agree it's a decent internet album, but I wouldn't call it his best released on the Internet. lol

I think 'The Slaughter House' is a much stronger album. boxed Hypno'Paradise is the SUGAR!! Along with: Silicon, Golden Parachute, Peace, S&M Groove, and Y Should Eye Do This, When Eye Could DO This? AWESOME Tracks!!!!

The Chocolate Invasion is good, but I think it lacks something...I don't know.? BUT: When Eye Lay My Hands On U, & Underneath The Cream, and Gamillah, are the only outstanding tracks. Although I do love 'High'! Haha

Anyways..I would have to say 'Xpecatation Or C-Note'

Heck...The Slaughter House is my pick in terms of actual lyrics and not instrumentals! smile
