I've already left a comment or two on this topic, but I feel the need to contribute once more.
Prince's relevancy is not based on his willing or lack thereof to work with an current artist. The fact that these artists request a desire to work with him, proves without a doubt that he is.
This man can go become a recluse and he will STILL be relevant!!
Another thing...let's stop with this whole who Prince can/can't, will/won't work with stuff. It's Prince's decision, solely. To me, he's proven enough that he doesn't care what his fans want him to do. He will work with whoever he wants. And, I promise you, if he does choose to work with Drake, the majority of y'all will not hesitate to purchase it. Even if, the purchase is for no other reason than to critique it.

Besides, Prince worked with Common before on the Electric Circus album so I'd assume they're friends, or at least respectful enough towards each other not to work with each other's ''enemies'', what with Common putting Drake in his place on the track ''Sweet'' from his new album. | |
