The best/most prophetic line in the whole movie is at the very beginning when those guys are running from Prince's club saying "Let's get outta here. That thing's gonna blow!" You can say that again buddy.

Oh, boo. *waves at you dismissively*

Graffiti Bridge isn't The English Patient, but it has its moments that, in spite of the bad ones, make it worth watching at least once.

I love the performances of "Elephants and Flowers", and "Tick Tick Bang", and both Prince and Ingrid Chavez were arguably at their hottest during this period. There's a sweetness to the love story between the Kid and Aura too that's nice to witness.

FREE?

What a fucking rip off

It's hard to see green when there is so much blue.

Deep and meaningless bollix.

Don't get me wrong, I like is as I am a sycophant but haven't watched it in 15 years and admit that it is basically shit.

I remember buying the VHS from hmv in London when it came out (direct to video). You got a free cheap as shit prince symbol pin. My little bro and I fought all the way home on two tubes and a bus who was going to keep the pin.

Wow, 6 beers in brings much honesty and reminiscing.

It's still a rip-off even if free, because I'd have to spend time watching it...can't get that time back either....disbelief

Free on demand eh? I didn't think there was a demand to see Graffiti Bridge. eek

99.9% of everything I say is strictly for my own entertainment

I was very lucky around the GB time and won a contest on the radio and the grand prize was a trip to the premier of GB in NYC. I was very excited and got a chance to greet the little man and shake his hand as well as meet a few other celebrities but I also had to call into the radio station and do an on air review of the movie. When the DJ asked me how the movie was I said, "Ah, well the music was good". I couldn't bring myself to dog our little friend but couldn't bring myself to lie on the radio either. At the end of the movie, like most of us, I thought what in the hell was that?

Something tells me prince was thinking the same thing. apparently at the premiere he walked out of the movie halfway through and then didn't even bother to show up at his own after party! seems even he was embarrassed by it! eek

You see this what happens when they take down megaupload...this is peoples punishment.

I think when they catch people with piracy the punishment should be a 100hrs of watching GB back to back...now if they haven't gauge their own eyes out by the end of it, they sure will never ever download ever again.

with GB being on tv and subsequently on their 'on demand' system, and UTCM on netflix... maybe prince is trying to prepare us for a new movie?

Its funny you say that because you are correct as I got up to go to the bathroom twice and the first time he was still in his seat but the second time he was gone. Then at the after party, everyone was there includibng all the attended celebreties and others from the the movie but Prince was a no show. I must say it was hugely dissapointing that he did not make an appearance at his own party but you are probably right it was due to the product we had all just witnessed

Graffiti Bridge is on Netflix streaming as well. On a side note, the 1980 SNL episode with Prince performing Party Up is on Netflix streaming as well, but sadly it's edited down to 39 minutes with the entire perfromance missing. You can see the band without Prince during the closing credits though.

4 some reason, I think Prince sounds like George Michael during "Elephants and Flowers."

Well, it certainly isn't the best movie ever but I do like the "performance" of Still Would Stand All Time.
