MUSICOLOGY TOUR-DETROIT.A ?

After still returning consttantly to that AMAZING version of DMSR..I was wondering whether the whole gig was this...i dunno

funky yeah but damn P is in a GOOD mood which as anyone will contest who has seen him it elevates the whole gig to something more

anyboy there?

anybody seen the gig?

maybe it cos i had such a great holiday in detroit but i imagine Detroit would be THE place in the states to see P.

It was very good. I also saw him play Gund Arena in Cleveland that tour and I actually prefer that show. Mostly because I had way better seats and the afterparty at the Viper Room.

The show was so polished for the tour that there didn't seem to be much difference between those shows and the L.A. show they screened in theatres.

I remember him playing Purple Rain and I was thinking that I'd probably never hear him play it again (he was saying he'd retire the old stuff again). Amazing how that song is still a favorite after all these years, and all those times I've heard it.

that sole DMSR performance in beats the crap out of that LA show i have on dvd!
