I love this era. I was very young when this all was going on, but ''Black Sweat'' was played a lot on MTV in that time in Holland, so I really liked that song(i was 11... )

I absolutely love this era, it's my favorite! 3121 is also my favorite album. I can't pick a favorite song from the album because the whole album is genius!

When this came out I knew of Prince but hardly knew anything of his. A dance teacher had this CD and curiosity got the better of me. Since then I have never looked back. I thought/think it's amazing, love this album. I don't care what anybody says. I look at music differently now that I know so much of Prince's material and this album was the start for me.

Thank you Prince. (I f**kin love you.)

On Black Sweat there is the line "screaming like a white Lady". I wonder if it is meant in a negative sense or the opposite compared to black women?
At the video Prince looks disgusted when it comes to this line. Could be a proof for the negative meaning?

I bought this cd and enjoyed it. I acually still listen to "Love" and "3121" a lot. But I have to admit this was one of the periods my interest was waning.

somehow, the momentum just didn't last...
