Hide the Bone appreciation

Or: how an outtake from the nineties is better then anything on MPlsound, Lotusflower or 20ten.

Anyone agrees?

funkomatic

For sure better than anything on the albums you mentioned. Definitely funky, but still something's missing!

Its simply more sleazy and in-your-face, and it has great funky guitar-riffing,

While 20ten and MPLsound are like septic, plastic R and B.

Dont get me wrong: it could even be better and more in your face. But i am listening to this song, and i try to compare it to the formulaic nonsense on 20ten.

The fact that even a simple 90's outtake has more urgency then the shit on 20ten tells me something.

I think it's nonsense to compare that song to those albums, as there's no similarities there, but I do love the song. I'd say it's one of his funkiest songs, especially from the last 20 years, but I do also feel like something is missing from it.

There are better songs. Would have been a very good song if it were not for 'bone' being repeated again and again (really dislike that), i like the bit towrads the end... something something woop hah something something woop hah???? What is that?

I don't really have much time for it tbh. I don't hate it, I just think it's been done better before.

This.

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

I don't know about opening song, but it definitely should've made the album, along with Days of Wild, and perhaps Love Sign. The Gold era produced a lot of great songs that didn't make the album, and imo many of them were better than some of the album tracks.
