For me, two of the biggest wastes of $ is when I bought "1800 NEW-FUNK" & the "ONA...Live" boxset [80$ all together that I'll never get back ]. I've only listen to "ONA" once, & "NF" twice (why? Hell If I know) Other ones that I rarely listen to are:

Purple Rain[For Obvious Reasons ]

Emancipation [Too Much To listen too at once. I'd have to put a day aside for this one ]

Chaos & Disorder [Eh....]

Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic [Eh....]

N.E.W.S. [Actually pretty boring imo]

Around The World In A day [As A whole, I find this one disappointing. But it's a decent album. I just prefer the hits instead of the full thing]

The Vault....OFFS [I do forget about this sometimes. "My Little Pill" always is stuck in my head though ]

20TEN [I just Have A Hard Time Listening to the whole thing. The mix just Hurts my ears]

New Power Soul [This might be Prince's worst album imo]

Diamonds & Pearls [Some really great songs one here. But some pretty friggin' awful ones too]

Graffiti Bridge [Same Excuse as "D & P"]

The Rainbow Children [Forgot about it. Far too long & long winded]

NPGMC Albums [rarely ever listened to them]

I'll be honest, I don't really listen to his albums very much these days. The one's I do listen to are those that stay on my iphone when I add new stuff - Dirty Mind, Parade, Box o chocs, my compilation of Lotusflowe tracks.

Everything else just doesn't really get played anymore. And even it I do put it on my iphone, it's only on there for a short time before it gets removed because I've not played it.

I don't really know why this is, I love most of his albums, but they don't have the same longevity & playability for me as the one's I mentioned above.

If we're talking albums I don't particularly like & never listen to though (one's that I've never played more than 5 times), then the list looks like this:

"It Ain't Over" came with ONA...Live, So I totally agree. I actually forgot about "Slaughterhouse" though. Not even sure if I got through the whole thing....

And that is why some view the art of the album as dead now. shame, i still listen to albums, i go through stages with various artists. I guess NPS and Emancipation are the least played.

It's not really an "art" or even that big of a deal... I do it for variety.

If I didn't, some albums would get played a lot, and others not at all. I have them all loaded, from "For You" to "2010", plus extra songs.

It is delightful when a song shuffles through that I haven't heard in a while.

When I feel like listening to whole albums, I do. That goes for Prince as well as other artists.

We all have our way of enjoying music.

I know that there are tracked versions out there, but I haven't "tracked" one down yet.

If this was a tracked CD, I'd listen to it MUCH more often, especially songs like Lovesexy, When 2 R in Love, Positivity, Dance On, etc.

It's a very good CD, but I don't like the fact that you're forced to Forward, rather than Skip.

Sad to say, another one of Prince's misguided "brilliant" ideas.

Eye Know is a great tune too, but I don't always want to start there. I want the FREEDOM to skip around. The Lovesexy format doesn't allow that.

I've never played any of the NPGMC albums, Rave, or Emancipation, in their entirety, not even in the background. Aggressively bad stuff.

Probably For You has been played the least number of times. I may have played that thing about two times?

20Ten would come in a close second, having been played no more than 4 or 5 times tops.

MPLShite, Planet Dung, Indigo Shites, Musuckology, Rave, 20Ten, all that lot and more.

I wouldn't touch anything post 2004 (included) with a 10 foot pole.

Apart from that, both Rave seem to get the minimal spins here.

I kind of like All the Critics on that album, but that was it.

I least listen to albums as a whole. I rather listen to some of the songs then the whole album itself al the time. A lot of Prince songs; at the ending seems to fall into another song; that most likely is not from that same album...lol. At least for me! Haha

I make my own mixes to tell you the truth, because Prince releases are usually so widely varied and all over the place. I grab what I like from each record, along with outtakes and live stuff I download and just mish-mash them together into a collection that never needs the "skip" button - since Prince seems incapable of releasing one.

It varies time to time, but lately ive put away alot of my favorite Prince album, because i wasnt getting "that feeling" ya kno all excited, but even still Kamasutra and Chaos & Disorder gets no love or play in my house neither does Graffiti Bridge or Rave cause i dont own them anymore
