Will.i.am says Justin Bieber could be the new Prince/MJ

Will.I.Am: "Justin Bieber Could Be The New MJ" (Prince mention in article)

Will.I.Am has sensationally claimed that he believes Justin Bieber has got what it takes to replace Michael Jackson as the King Of Pop.

The Black Eyed Peas frontman, who is working with JB on his third studio LP, thinks the Biebster can fill the void Jackson left after his death in June 2009.

Speaking to Radio Disney about the 17-year old superstar, Will confessed: "I was with Justin Bieber in the studio two days ago, working on his new album, and we had a really great conversation."

"Justin Bieber could be like Prince. Justin Bieber could be like Michael Jackson where his career is like, for like, 'Wow! Explain its 2030, Justin Bieber, your career is so long. You’re the first artist to be broadcasted to Mars. How do you feel about that?' Justin Bieber could be that dude."

Will added: "That’s the conversation we had and then we started working on things from scratch like here right, I wanted to do something with Justin that probably no other producer would do or to took the time to think about to do. You know I’m excited about the stuff we’re making."

Jay-Z also recently hit the headlines for comparing his wife Beyoncé to MJ, stating that the Single Ladies hitmaker "inspired" him, much like Michael Jackson did.

Michael Jackson and Prince are very different, which one could he be like?

Tell you what, call me when he is like one of them cos right now he's just another disposable teen idol.

Prince no.

Michael, well if in 2 years he becomes loved by little girls & adults then, maybe.

85% sure no for both.

Justin Bieber is not an insanely talented, highly influential pop star and will never be. Prince and MJ are incomparable to any one else. I grant Justin Bieber all his success, but Prince and Michael can NEVER be replicated, especially not by a cookie-cutter teenage heart-throb.

What a joke. Will must be collaborating with Justin and wants the attention. I have never taken anything Will has done seriously, with or without the BEP.

Ridiculous comparison, these people are truly deluded.

That is one of the funniest and foolish statements that I have heard in...a day or two. lol Justin Beiber is overrated. Is he currently a success? Yes. Is he very marketable? Yes. However, he is vastly overrated. His voice is nothing short of ok. His dance skills are HIGHLY overrated. (His dougie made me laugh SO hard, along with his side glide and pop locking. What in the world! eek ). I do not see him around ten years from now, not even five (but I may be wrong). However, I seriously doubt it. Sorry, he is not and will never be the new Prince/MJ. No one ever will. The reason they are who they are is because they are themselves. I don't mean to sound so harsh on a kid but life is harsh.

Why do all the hip-hop stars think they know will be the next version of a legend? What compels them to say such stuff? lol

Exactly! Why are people so caught up with being the next so-and-so or the greatest since so-and-so. Why can't people be content with being the best THEY can be instead of trying so hard to become another person?

And Mars. Really.

time flies.

People say stupid things like comparing Beiber to MJ or Prince. If anything, you may be able to compare Beiber to Justin Timberlake.

Maybe Will wants to collaborate with the latest teeny bopper to stay hip, so he's boosting Bieber's ego by saying that. lol
