Heyo, while driving to work this morning, I don't know why, but I was wondering if Mayte could still have access to the songs she worked on with Prince (i.e. by providing background vocals) or whether she has no right to?

It depends on what you mean by access. I know that she recently performed a song off of Child of the Sun, which Prince wrote and produced. She was a guest performer at a burlesque performance in California and she sang a tune from that album at that time.

I very much doubt it...would guess Prince owns it all.

I'm sure she can perform her songs, she probably just can't sell the recordings (unless she re-records them).
