Camille saves!

Last week I bought Lotusflow3r (including MPLSound) on vinyl.

It may sound a bit silly, but the cheesy tracks, like Never be another and Chocolate Box, benefit a LOT from pitching them up to Camille-like heights. They get really cool and funky! The higher tempo helps too.

Back in the 12-inch era i used to do this a lot with songs I had heard too often. By speeding them up they sound fresh and funky again. cool

It's also fun to 'de-Camille' certain songs, like If I was your girlfriend and . Sounds great in Prince's normal voice.

Try it, people!

You are right! In a lot ways it saves the funk or makes the song more interesting! I have done this many times, and I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it more in comparison to its normal effect! Camille Saves especially with Prince! Haha

It's Button Therapy, Baby!

Why don't you contact Eye Records or some other leech label with your idea, then they can release your slowed down/speeded up songs and claim that they are some newly discovered hidden remixes, then they can be remastered in supersonic quantum sound with dayglo heat reactive artwork, and punted out at $60 for all the loonies who would "rather have the physical thing."

You can't fail.

Bootlegs and what labels they are on have been discussed/dissected on this site for years, so your point is?

Not being nasty, just asking.

What a sad hostility!

The people who download and download can be easily caricatured too, but I just do my thing and let others have their opinion.
