Will Prince ever reunite with the Revolution ?

With age starting 2 catch up with everyone , it would b a shame if Prince doesn't decide 2 reunite the Revolution for at least a one time event. I know Prince has moved on musically blah , blah , blah. Stop being an ass and bring back a band that your fans like and care about , not these session players you have been playing with over the past few years. Prince is all about doing the unexpected and this reuniting 2 me would be very unexpected. It's been 25 years since the Revolution disbanded , can I hear it 1 mo' time ?

Ralph Nader has a better chance of being President than Prince reuniting with The Revolution.

What would have been cool is if mr. Ambivalent actually had kept the Vegas thing going and did an appollonia 6, Sheila E., the Time and the Family Revue including the Revolution. Even have Jesse perform some of his music. Do this for a month. Just the weekend. With it being at a stationary location the expense of breaking down the set, locating new arenas, hotel and everything associated with touring would be eliminated. But alas mr imp purple yoda is too much the ass to do so. What a jerk. And 20ten is rot10.

he is not being "an ass". Its his life, his carrear and he has a right to do what he wants to do, not what pleases someone else. Besides i would rather have prince work with a bunch of talented young musicians instead.

Listen. He is an Ass!! Maybe you didn't get the cease and desist letter (no more housequake.com)or maybe he hasn't told you to stop playing his music or using his photos (let's go crazy dancing baby). Radiohead had to tell him to let fans play his version of creep. Maybe you never sign a contract that prevented you from recording music for years after he fucked up your career in it's prime (Jill Jones, Nona Gaye and Tamar experienced that), hey how about remastering his catalog so that half his shit would sound clean and not a muffled tin can (SOTT for one). Okay, I know you're passionate about Prince (after SOTT FAN) hence your quick defense of him and immediate attack with "...what pleases someone else" but wake up and smell the housequake, Prince is an ASS! And his somewhat fair-weather obstinate approach to his core fan(oh my God, i said fan) base is the greatest indication of such. His career (corrected spelling) spans three decades, that's 25 years longer than 80% of the artist out there, so his career is intact. For years the Jacksons talked of a tour. The whole family, Michael, Janet, The Jacksons and Rebie. Well Michael is gone, and now they plan on touring...it's a little late. With the opportunity there Prince the performer can give back to his fans but it's Prince the Ass that we have and support. Oh boy I can't wait for another 20ten-rot10...yes I can...wait.

I am not denying his hypocrisy on covers, infact i called him out on it. I agree that he is a control freak, but him not wanting to reunite with the revolution is a different thing. Maybe they former revolution members have different things to do. I didnt like 20ten either (except a couple of songs) but that is besides the point. People move on, things change, circumstances change. He already reunited with some of them 5 years ago.

Do you really think Purple Rain would sound better w/the Revolution? It would just be Purple Rain again. There's no way the old legend would be recaptured. And it wouldn't draw anymore crowds to the shows than he does now. I agree it would be nice to see P and Wendy share a stage together, but Lisa, Bobby and the Dr. would be at the back of the stage so you couldn't see them anyway. So I dont think it would make much of a difference! The current band is fine with me. Except Andy Allo of course. Sorry, girl, wish you all the best, but this is not your thing.

You do relaize he was just as much of an 'ass' back in 1984 as he is now. Oddly no one cared about it back then as much as they do now.

When eye go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all heart up in the house but when eye log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming!

There was no internet back then so people who don't know Prince but claim to know everything about him couldn't bitch so much!
