How Does Prince Still Have His Hair After All These Years Of Relaxers?

He's been getting a relaxer ever sice 79', how does his hair hold up?

Does he get a different type of relaxer?

O.M.G. Should he not have hair just because he uses a relaxer?

http://prince.org/msg/7/363756

We already have a thread on his hair going already I wonder if this question is asked of other musicians/artists, and why is it such a big deal to fans what he does with his hair?lol Has nothing to do with his creative music skills or his ability to perform as a musician.

I asked the question because I've seen artists from the 70's and 80's who had relaxers, and now their hair is fucked up.

I know Prince doesn't wear a wig. I just want to know what kind of method he uses.

So because they didn't take the time to provide the proper "aftercare" for their hair, down the road, that is supposed to mean Prince's hair should be the same? Exactly which artists are you talking about from the 70s/80s?

I'm not a "bro" I'm a female. Secondly, no one's being cruel. You created a thread, so expect answers you're looking for, but it's obvious he takes "proper care" of his hair, the same as anyone else who does the same. It's really not that difficult to understand.

Everybody in this forum pretend he got hair, though.

Ok, maybe this will help, I'm sure there's no "special sauce or magic potion" in whatever relaxer, he may be using that is no different from any other relaxer that works with his type hair, and I doubt that because "He still has his hair " as you basically put it, that the relaxer, has anything to do with why he still has hair, because, are you sure you are ready for this? I don't want you to get too excited now when I say this..... because ....... ..omg......shhh.............it could very well be because he's just taking very, good care of his hair. Now don't go running off telling anybody that...mmkay?lol

You know what? I think you are perfectly right to pose a question like that in this forum because no matter how silly and offensive the majority of orgers (including Prince himself lol ) may find your question, I for one think it is a perfectly legit question because his hair has been a subject of his lyrics numerous times over the years, and he is obviously an artist who really loves his hair and loves to flaunt it and show off, and he knows people admire his hair ( there was a quote by rapper Common almost twelve years ago where he spoke about how great Prince´s hair looked when he met him backstage, like in a shampoo commercial).

I think your thread is more of a compliment rather than an insult because you´re wondering why he´s still got great hair even though he´s 53 and been exposing his hair to various kinds of stress factors over the years.

I´m not really into these hair threads but health and fitness are part of my lifestyle so of course I´d like to know some of Prince´s secrets, like his diet, workout routine, hair care tips etc.etc.

I wish he´d written a book about these topics . It would sell like hot cakes.

I don´t know why people pick on you so strongly just because you asked about his hair. It IS indeed a big part of his personality, and gets mentioned in so many lyrics, even tongue-in-cheek ( see the song Prettyman where he talks about buying more hair in case he should lose it), or lyrics like in "I like it there" where he mentions how much he loves his hair.

This "Prince´s hair is off limits!" taboo here on the org is a bit strange considering how important his hair seems to be for him.

By the way, I disagree about your statement regarding artists from the 70s who´ve lost their hair...there are (or better , were) a lot of old school artists who still had a full head of hair in their later years, see James Brown. Puffy once said that James told him to use olive oil to keep his hair. And Prince also mentions olive oil applications in one of his newer songs.

People would not freak out if you talked about Sly Stallone´s body or his workout routine in some Sly forum, nor would they disrespect you if you mentioned Nick Cage´s hair problems in some Nick Cage forum.

But this is the org, so.......

" I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

Call me crazy but I always thought that Prince had a straighter "natural" hair texture that he just smoothed out more by pressing it (which is using either a hot comb or flat iron). I just figured he used a flat iron and a hot comb for a smoother appearance. By the way, I'm also black so don't anyone think they can "school me" on black hair care right now, LOL. Believe it or not there are MANY black people (self-included) who have NATURALLY smooth hair (duh)

Trolls be gone!
