Andy sounds a bit like Corrine Bailey Rae on this track - very nice

I haven't listened to this track yet, but I agree that her voice does favor Corinne Bailey bit in some of her songs. I mentioned this same thing last year on a thread I did on Andy Allo, back in August 2010 in the non-prince music forum. Her voice sounds like a combination of Jill Scott, Erykah Badu and Corinne Bailey, depending on how she sings a particular song. In some of her other songs, her voice/style sometime reflect singer "Esthero" when she talk-sings during some of her songs, and also she has a bit of the singing style of singer "Billy Miles".

Ok, I just listened to that tribute, and I have to say Andy sings it beautifully, but you can't help but feel sad when you listen to it. Prayers to Amy's family.

i absolutely love this! i been listening to it on repeat the past 2 hours.

i'm not really a fan of cover songs or acoustic versions of songs but i love this.

To anyone that shallowly says, "Is it a surprise?", as far as Amy dying, I would say to them, "Don't you think that the grim realization of this possibility, followed by the outcome is even more tragic?"

She was a gem. Her voice and tortured soul should have made it through. There is no diminishing this tragedy.

So True, this masterstroke was written in pain and sorrow, there was always a sadness about the young lady that unfortunately we bacame disensitized to.

I agree. The same sad eventuality also applied to Jim Morrison and Kurt Cobain (I'm not familiar with Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix's stories) you can see where it's going and you see the self destruction while they try to kill the demons inside of themselves with drugs and alcohol and end up cutting their lives short. You feel sorry for them and hope they can pull together and find peace, but their demons win instead.

On the last night of Princes 21 in London. Amy sang this song at the momentus indigo aftershow... Prince was really moved by her performance that night & said we "needed to look after"

When I heard the news of her passing, I wondered if he would do anything so glad he did. (ShelbyJ would have better nailed the pain nuances in the song IMHO but Andy's rendition is really sweet)

Really???? Wow. I thought her voice was magical for the song. In fact, I thought the cadence and pitch was perfect for her voice. I heard her sing a cover of sweet lady by Tyrese and it sounded horrible but the slow, alto range suits her quite well. I thought the cover was really beautiful and I like how he changed the lyrics, as if he was talking TO Amy or about Amy. Very beautiful.

Yeah, too bad Prince is infatuated by this young girl ... he could have sung it 10 times better than Andy, her singing voice sounds awful, tired, lazy, no soul .. to me it always sounds like she's high on drugs or something. Don't like it at all.

WOW! I have to say this is really beautiful! It gave me chills the whole way through, and made me really miss Amy Winehouse more. I started to just "Reflect" and it is such a BIG lost for me. Amy Winehouse has always been such a BIG part of my life...Having literally following her career since her debut, and being captivated by her life. Hearing Andy Allo's voice is very piercing, and I can hear the emotions within this song. Prince's guitar sounds amazing and this is just one of the most beautiful tributes ever given, you can hear the love and sincerity. AHH! Tears!

Nice of them to do that, but I wish it would have been reversed, with P doing the vocal.

Once more, with feeling. Winehouse had soul, that special something. P also has it. I'll end there.

I pray for healing, peace and God's loving blessing as this family learns to go on without their beloved Amy...sad, haunting, lovely and an authentically beautiful song befeating a gifted artist and individual dying too, too, too young. What a loving tribute to this talented artist to so many and inspiration to others. May her family, friends, fans and fellow artist treasure the times, of any type, that they were blessed to share with her and her Thank you Andy and Prince for a truly beautiful and lovely salute...and I appreciate you for sharing the site. We absolutely must value the time we have with the people we love and treasure. Thank-you to both artists and for Amy who is Gone To Soon
