So it seems like Prince is working his butt off these days...do you think he's doing all this because of the lawsuits, boredom, working on his legacy? Thoughts? I just wonder if he's now entering into his "I'm a legend" phase of life. Comments?

he's in songwriting & studio rehab/ wants to impress the girls/ wants to show off his bod/ wants to sing about when she comes & being a gingerbreadman/ missed the twinz/ good excuse to wear glittery suit/ gets invites to the ballet/ gets to stare at misty's clunge

i think as well he's got sooo much stamina he doesn't know what to do with it all plus he wants to pay his rent & buy soup

He'll never change. Only he knows why. I'm glad he's out there and not shut away.

I still think he has kids somewhere supporting them, but we will only find out who they are after he is gone. I truly believe this.

All of them reach that point at some time in their life. Prince is starting to reach that point starting last year.

I think he had already hit that point in the 1980s. And he certainly knew he was a legend by the time he wrote “My Name is Prince”.

Anyway, Prince has always worked like this. He moves back and forth between intense recording and making videos and movies that nobody ever sees to touring and making concert movies that nobody ever sees. We should all be so lucky as to have his drive and stamina.

Probably but he still seemed "daring" back then. I mean he was for sure a legend by '92 so I see what you mean... but yeah he's still working hard, all the stuff that's come out since '96 and all lol

Not sure if this has been a previous thread, but it would be interesting if something like this were true. But, I kind of think we would have heard by now or at least seen pics by now...

I'm not sure if he saw himself that way back then, even if we did.

But he does now. He is definitely aware of his position in the music world and his legacy.

Yeah that's what I was trying to say. Even then, he was still "hungry". Now it seems like he's more or less resting on his laurels. All of them get to that point in their careers. Prince, as it's turning out, is no different.

I think Prince is just one of those people who likes working hard. Plain and simple. Besides, he's 52, not 82...He's not old and decrepit yet lol!
