I attended the show Fri 4/22 and was HIGHLY disappointed. Prince only played for about an hour and a half. Mint Condition opened for him & they played for about the same time. I'm a big Prince lover and have seen about 6 shows - this was the shortest and most disappointing. I haven't read all the posts, but did anyone else feel the same?

After it was over (he gave 2 small encores) people seemed to be in disbelief that it was over & people weren't leaving. After 30-40 minutes security started telling people to leave. Very sad. I was so glad I only paid for the $25 seats. If I paid more I would have been PISSED!

His duet with Alicia Keys was awesome, though.

Having flown in from Sydney to see the 4/22 Friday show I have to agree that it was short. My expectations were met, but not surpassed. It was short and sweet, a good mix of songs, but you could tell that by Purple Rain his voice was straining.

With the audience sticking around for an hour after the show waiting for something, anything - Prince appeared riding a bike through the floor area and like the show itself it was a blink and you'll miss it moment.

Thankfully, I grabbed tickets to the Saturday night show and witness a 3 hour epic performance. It was beyond great with a mix of songs that satisfied the casual fan as well as the hardcore type that would fly half way round the world to catch a show razz

To compare setlists - 19 to 31 songs...

Here is the Friday night: http://www.setlist.fm/set...39098.html

Here is the Sat night: http://www.setlist.fm/set...39262.html

All said I am glad I made the trip. Back home now.

I hate Madison Square Garden for not allowing him to do this in NY!! I could have seen all 21 nights for what I paid for 1 show...

In the words of Florida Evans: " damn, Damn, DAMN"

Sounds like a personal problem. You probably could fly to L.A., stay at the Marriott, eat some sushi, and catch 3 Prince shows for less than the cost of 2 VIPs in NY...but who's being technical?

I have no clue on the "official" number show, but it was his final show last night at the Forum...

Any one know if that final night at the forum was show 21?

I know he played Thur/Fri/Sat - so it would mean 7 weeks - which seems about right.

Can anyone confirm?

04/14 one show

04/21, 22, 23 (3)

04/28,29,30 (3)

05/5, 6, 7 (3)

05/13, 14 (2)

05/27, 28, 29 (3)

Only 15 shows at the forum. There were 3 shows at the house of blues and I believe there were only 2 shows at the troubador, which would make 20 total. I may be missing something. He also did 2 shows up north

Oh, and according to my friend who went on Sunday, that was show 21

Were the house of blues shows considered part of 21 Nights - or seen as side shows.

Wikipedia shows 4 up north that were considered part of the 21 nights. So, I think the two at the troubadour were included and the house of blues shows were not. That would make 21: the 15 at the forum the 4 up north and the 2 at the troubador
