I was wondering the same thing. I am starting to think that news of this new, 25-min version only surfaced due to the positive reviews the YouTube cover was getting. I do believe it exists, but I wonder if it was only said in the vein of "That's nothing. I got a 25-min. version of that song. Ya'll ain't ready!" You know how competitive Prince is.

Maybe he started to do something with the song, then changed his mind.

oh please. it had nothing to do with the youtube video. but it had everything to do with distracting the fanbase from the latest round of lawsuits for no more than 20 seconds. DrFunkenberry was perilously close to having no choice but to report on the lawsuits, so they threw a rubber ball over his head to go bounding after into the woods.

What is the obsession people have with giving ups to people who have "source" info? Stop groveling. Even if their info came directly from P's mouth itself, unless you see the shit materialize then it's time to STOP GIVING UPS TO RANDOM PEOPLE WITH RANDOM INFO.

It's kind of like the 20TEN Deluxe thing. Even if the info about that floating around was real or fake, it still is impertinent in the long run because 1) it wasn't released, 2) 20TEN wasn't released in the US at all.

IN the long run, people with these facts rarely ever are validated by official means (be it announcement or release, etc).

It ain't news if it ain't from the source, got it? It's just some random person's comment and you have zero way to back it up no matter how much you love the person posting the comment.

Lets see. Does a snippet of Nikki, and full version of Insatiable, Adore, Scandalous and Extraordinary give us 25 minutes? Approximately yes right? We got 25 minutes of Prince being Extraloveable...

I like the shower part.

Hmmm ... Honestly, I would have preferred that N.E.W.S. would have not got out, that way we could have been SURPRISED by a new song. Thinking on it further, I don't think that song'll see the light of day (I pray I'm so wrong on this, though).
