Long version of Stand Back on a promo?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stand_Back : In the UK, the single was given Nicks' first 12-inch release, featuring a different glossy picture sleeve and the inclusion of a third track, "Wild Heart" (album version), whilst a very limited 12-inch extended DJ promo was released on vinyl in the US in 1983, featuring longer instrumental and vocal sections and clocking in at 7:56.

I looked for it and downloaded a 7;10 version which sounds genuine, but the odd thing is that i couldn't find anything about it anywhere else. Still, whoever wrote the wiki entry seems well documented.

Ever heard of this yourself?

The DJ Mix I have is 7:33 and has short samples from Rhiannon and Edge of 17 mixed in. I don't think it has any additional Prince involvement, but I could be wrong.

A Stand Back (Long Version) 4:47
B Stand Back (Short Version) 4:18

from Discogs.com...that was the longest I could find without it being a mixed DJ Promo.

I checked on Discogs, too and didn't find anything either.

The 7:33 remix sounds like fanmade, it's not the one i have anyway: i don't know about these samples, were these songs already out in 1983?

Rhiannon was released in 1975 and Edge of 17 was off of Stevie's first solo album, in 1980.

There are actually, it turns out, a lot of remixes of Stand Back. You'd have to check with someone more knowledgeable about it, but I think there was an original DJ remix about 7:30ish or so that was released in limited copies (I think only in Europe) back in 1983. Then it looks like Stevie and/or her record company commissioned several new remixes in 2007.

But as far as I know, none of these would have any further Prince involvement than what is on the original released version of the song.

Oh sure, there's no way that Prince would've contributed more than what he did on the album version, but since his parts would be on that 83 remix, it counts, which is why i wanna make sure it exists. The fact that u've heard about it from another source than the wiki page makes me feel better. Now i'd have to be sure that it's the one i have confused
