Yeah I hope they eventually give him a lifetime achievement honor too. I was shocked when Purple Rain was added to the Grammy Hall of Fame and there was a tribute for that particular album. But his music legacy speaks volumes more than any award or honor ever can.

Prince deserves the lifetime achievement now. I have watched and loved him since I was in high school and I am almost his age now. Who else from that generation is still around now and still going strong except Prince? He is an icon and no one alive has his talent. Someone should start a campaign so he gets it next time? He killed when he was on the Grammy's with Beyonce.

Him being honored at the BET Awards opened up a new crowd to him. So many youngsters starting to search for his music. The Grammys would open up more doors. Ummm, do you guys know anything about AA hair? it tends to tighten up (& look shorter) when wet. When you blow dry it adds volume & looks like hmmm, a lot more hair...

attended the NAACP Awards. thought maybe he would b there since he is living here in LA now. But didn't c him anywhere so figured he passed on it or was giving an afterparty. But when Wayne Brady introduced him went in2 shock the whole audience gasped. The place got so loud we didn't hear anything Prince said. Plus his mic wasn't audible 2 us. He hugged Halle Berry 4 so long and so tight. She was like a little school girl. They looked kind of like twins lol. This was the best surprise of the night. attend every year. But this one is the best since he per4rmed right at the beginning of his 3121 years in 2005.

Prince has already won the NAACP Vanguard Award back in 2005

And he was won the BET Lifetime Achievement Award

I want to say he has already won the Sammy Davis Jr. Award as well from Soul Train.

He hasn't won the Lifetime Achievement from the Soul Train Awards yet as well.....

He hasn't been awarded the UNCF Tribute Award either. Maybe in the next few years because he's going on what, 35 years in the business? 2010 was Lionel Richie and 2011 was Chaka Khan.

& there r no reruns... Its live only....It was done 2 hours prior 2 airing here on the west coast & shown live on east coast........

Since I am part AA, then I'd say I do know a tad bit about it (though I'm no expert). I still say Prince's hair LOOKS extremely longer than it was at the Oscars. I know it can look shorter when not flat ironed or straightened (mine does). But not that much? You could see Prince's scalp on those Oscar pics (not saying he's bald) but it looked like he had a fresh haircut. Tonight his hair was really long in the front. Of course, it could just be the way it LOOKS, but it definately caught my attention. I guess Prince's hair could have grown since the Oscars.
