anybody else agree come is actually good?

From what i read Prince wrote this album off. But i quite enjoy this album, its very psychedelic in a 90s electronic way. Space is just immense...it literally makes me feel like im floating in a space station looking out at earth. I also like when Prince sings the "ive been dreaming of" etc line... nice powerful vocals

The best Prince/prince of the whole 1990's. It's better than The Gold Experience! Yeah I said it, better!

I love Come!

I love the title track - it is a fantastic journey of a song

I love Space (especially the Universal Love Remix)

I love Pheromone for its naughtiness

I love to shake my mother fuckin' goose to Loose (it's kind of dated though)

I love the storytelling of Papa

Race... disbelief (no love there)

I love the sadness of Solo, which I don't think is present in most Prince songs

I love how he shakes off that sadness in Letitgo

Orgasm...indulgent and unnecessary IMO

It's one of the albums that I really enjoy listening to from start to finish!

I remember the day it was released. I went out and bought it on my lunch break at work and listened to it out in my car. Good times...

Love it.

Prince didn't write the album off because of its content.

Prince wanted WB to release Come as "Prince 1958-1993" and then release The Gold Experience as prince. They said no we will release Come as Prince but you are going to need to wait for us to promo the album before we release TGE. He said fuck you!! Got real mad, he did! Didn't do any promo for Come at all because he was being pedantic. TGE came out and he abandoned that one too! Already was working on Emancipation. smile

Like alot of Prince's output around that time - it was interesting ...

I remember buying this for the "drive home" from the beach ... i must have listened to it 3-4 times on the journey home ...

I found myself - skipping to "pheremone" and "loose" ... alot ... i remember ....

now ... i cant say I listen to it at all ... to me the stand out was "pheremone" ...

Colonel Angus may be smelly. colonel angus may be a little rough . but deep down ... Colonel angus is very sweet.

I was a bit disappointed when it came out. Mainly I found it too short.

The album has grown. And some of the definitely inferior albums he released since then have made it even better.

The Title track is a great groove and well written...

Papa is a neet song (The ending still sounds like lenny Kravitz to me)

This original version of "So Dark" is FAR superior to the other one with the dance beat thrown into it...

Its definatly a good album...To me it's much better than Diamonds and Pearls and a few others.....but not nearly as good as The Truth, The Rainbow Children, Lovesexy, etc.

Still listen to it though....cool ( I still get a huge kick out of title track lyrics....I laugh out loud every time!)

I love listening to the Album, although I can do without the Orgasm coming from someone else. I had this on the other week and my husband thought I was losing my mind. At least he did recognise the Artist.
