The Human Body......your thoughts?

I always loved the lyrics and the arrangement of this song.

Only with it had more of it...too much instrumental after he stops singing.

Album plays and love for vinyl records.

I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

I liked it very much from Emancipation. Very unique and different from Prince's usual tactics

Yes, at 19, I finally saw the Revolution, a legendary band. And I talked to Wendy!!! biggrin In addition to seeing Prince, I have now lived life. Thank you Purple People!!

I admit...the first time I heard the beginning..I wasn't goin to give it a chance, but when I kept listening SHIT...i fell in love ! It reminds me of the nightlife. I wish the song was longer.

New World really does go with it though...they go hand in hand.

The uptempo cuts off of Emancipation were pretty good I have to say..most of the songs I pulled from the 3 discs are the uptempo songs...even though the production was kind of flat..either not enough real instrumentation played a part or the drum machines used were too thin and full of treble however it did give a cold mechanic vibe to it..in some places it worked, but it was a little much.

Yes! I HATE when people refer to it/them as Techno! "Loose" would be considered Techno.

If it breaks when it bends, U better not put it in!

It's just pop music. All of it. It might have influences by things like techno or country or whatever else. But Prince writes pop songs. He can't not. Put "Loose!" before a Techno professional and see how they laugh at the effort.

Truth.

Truth.

With everything Prince does he puts a Prince spin on it, but house (electronic dance music, whatever) is really not something he's ever done successfully. Of course, he had electro-funk totally in the bag, so he can't really complain.

Someone who makes a living doing techno music?

Someone who has professional knowledge of techno music?

Technically, it is something you study.

Honestly, Prince probably ushered in the first "house/techo" song and did it extremely well in Controversy. I dare people to say it isn't, and btw he has made some decent house efforts. I'm sure if Prince put his mind to it, he could rock out anything on Naked Music's catalogue. If you like house, that's the label to get.

Yes, Naked Music does have a good catalog, but if U want funky house try Purple Music.

i seem to remember a remix of the human body on an npgahdio show that i quite liked and

did play a lot. or perhaps it just preceded another remix (hot with u). i'll have to see if i can

dig up the ahdioshows somewhere along my cdrs.
