Pee Wee Herman - #1 Prince fan

"Prince is probably my #1 crush, musically. I can't think of anything except a curse word, but he's that. He's the blank."

Paul Reubens is cool...I don't care what anyone says about the masturbation thing. He is human, hence, not perfect.

One thing he is, though, is tremendously creative. Pee-wee Herman has always been a larger-than-life character who both kids and adults can be entertained by. Playhouse was a huge part of my life growing up, and knowing that Paul digs Prince's music makes his current resurgence all the more awesome to me.

I hope the Pee-wee renaissance really takes off. Prince should do a cameo in the new movie Paul is making with Judd Apatow: nothing offensive or off-color, just a brief funny appearance. Maybe Pee-wee is on the side of the road in one scene, looking for a ride, à la Big Adventure. A limo pulls up, Pee-wee runs to the back door to jump in, but as he's trying to open the door, the window comes down, and it's Prince.

Pee-wee: AHHH! It's Prince!

Prince: SHHH! Keep your voice down! I'm headed to MPLS...u need a ride?

Pee-wee: Gee, that'd be swell! Hey, would you sign this CD I got when I visited London?

Prince: Give it here. (Pee-wee hands the CD to Prince, who signs it and passes it back to him.) Hey, what's your favorite track on the album?

(Pee-wee starts dancing around, singing "Everybody Loves Me." Prince is startled, wide-eyed. He's half embarrassed and half amused by the spectacle. He cuts Pee-wee off after a few bars.)

You better cut that out, kid. You gonna give my song a bad name!

(Prince puts the window up, and the limo speeds away, leaving Pee-wee behind.)

lol

It would also be pretty cool if he did a movie with Tim Burton and Johnny Depp (and yes, Benicio Del Toro), even though he's worked with them separately. But connect it to the first movie, somehow.

I do wonder if Danny Elfman and Prince collaborated on the soundtrack, what it would sound like...

Or maybe Pee Wee eats some peyote and Prince appears to him in a vision where Prince takes him on a tour of his various theories of the universe and then deposits him back into the cushy arms of Chairy.

I agree completely, but that Big Adventure film gave me the bloody creeps. It was just...deeply odd. It literally made me feel queasy and light-headed - and not in a good way. I didn't get it. I don't get him. Is he meant to be a Buster Keaton/Charlie Chaplin homage with a creepy paedo edge? A satire on the village weirdo? A preppy Michael Jackson? Ths innocent savant outsider ostracised by straight society? That fucking laugh. I don't get it. I really don't get it. I was more scared of this creepy cunt hiding in my closet than Freddy Kruger when I was wee. Yet, if having a wank to porn is a crime, this is the Galactic Federation's prison planet.

Prince is probably a paedo.

It's probably true. Historically, He certainly doesn't like women his own age.

As much as I love Pee-Wee, part of me is sad to see Paul Reubens playing him after all this time. I don't think I've seen him in a role where he wasn't fantastic. Will say though, I would love to see his new show.

I actually sat in the same row as Pee Wee Herman at The Purple Rain Tour here in LA back in 85. I didn't know he was a big fan until then. The audience was full of stars though that night.

eye will ALWAYS think of prince like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. eye mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that prince wasn't of this earth, eye would not have been that surprised. R.I.P. prince

He's back to doing live shows as Pee Wee, he was an improv guy from the Groundlings in LA, and a lot of people first saw him in the Cheech and Chong movies. Paul's done plenty of character actor roles and still can go back to doing that. The theater incident was ridiculous - they were there for a drug bust in a porn theater. I think people were surprised it wasn't a gay theater.

He did the Playboy interview last month, and it turned out he had a relationship with Entourage's (and friend of Madonna) Debi Mazar. She was in "Girl 6", so there's a ever so slight connection to Prince.

Burton's films are like that: they have a twisted, creepy edge to them. He's an odd one, indeed.

You're reading way too much into the Pee-wee character. He is supposed to be a young boy, period. I don't think it has anything to do with pedophilia, just with celebrating the energy and joy of youth. As you get older, you lose the sense of joy and fun you had as a kid. Pee-wee represents the inner child in all of us. I wish I could be more like Pee-wee.

Paul Ruebens did some pretty good acting in the "Blow" movie. It's actually cool to see him doing the supporting role thing.

I'm looking foward to seeing the new Pee Wee flick directed by Judd Apatow. From what I heard it's going to be a dark comedy about the movie industry (with a R-rating). Should be interesting.

I was there opening night. Elizabeth Taylor was front and center in the audience. I remember something in the local papers that Prince did some Diva act when Ms.Taylor invited him to her house, causing her to basically tell him to Fuck off lol Oh didn't Pee Wee show up at the premiere of Purple Rain in a mini convertible toy car?

Yeah exactly! I was there the opening night to. Madonna was there to. I read that Liz story! It said Prince brought his father with him to her house and his body guards shaved her bushes(lol) for paparazzi.

About Pee Wee driving that mini convertible. Sadly i didn't see the premier on MTV until years later. Because our cable was cut off @ the time. So I didn't know he was at the premier. Prince has always had a lot of famous fans that I have spotted at his shows over the years....Including a drunken Paula Abdul a few inches awayy from me...lol
