Hi guys, can you please tell me which prince live shows in the past 10 years I must watch? I'm guessing septimo is one (tho its 1999), how about paris this year? can u please tell me how many discs each...if that's not possible, please do tell me your top 10 list...(which are available for watching in good quality, that is)...

I really love a boot called "Prince, Cora & Josh". It's an aftershow who took place in london a few years ago. It's just guitar-bass-drums. A really guitar oriented show. And it kicks ass.

I was at the Arras show this summer and it was absolutuly brillant. The sond quality for this show is pretty good.

don't include shows which don't have live video footage available in good quality.

Oh, you're looking for videos ?

What you'll find mostly is incomplete shows filmed with a cell phone and terrible sound quality...

I got cora, josh thanks. does that mean there are no good LIVE DVD boots AT ALL apart from alladin (which was official) these past 10 years?

There's some pretty solid versions of the Musicology tour kick-off floating around out there. What was that... 3/29/04? Somethin' like that. But I think they were all filmed off of movie screens. Otherwise...

There are a number of videos that have great sound, but nearly all of them have video that was filmed from the audience with cell phones or flip cams. Most of them are not complete and the portions that do exist can be shaky, or blurry, or contain slightly suspect filming choices (but hey, you're supposed to be watching a concert when you buy a ticket, not holding up your flip cam blocking the view of your fellow concert attendees biggrin ). You're not very likely to find anything filmed with a professional camera from a stationary position. There may be a few of them out there, but I can't personally tell you what, where and when. Hopefully somebody else can help you out.

Slim pickings if you only want video stuff. Staples Centre Musicology is pro shot so get that. Audio wise there are some great shows the aforementioned London power trio aftershow is a must have as is Conga Room 09 (same concept but with Michael B and Sonny T) Vega Copenhagen 02 is also great a perfect soundboard and fabulous performance too apart from 'Prince And The Band' redface
if you've gotta pay for things that you've done wrong I've gotta big bill coming at the end of the day- Gil Scott Heron

Great quality will be hard to comeby. But there are still good shows to be found. I would suggest anything from the Musicology Tour back in '04. The Staples Center show was excellent, probably one of the best I've seen, and it has pretty good audio/video. And I like the '09 Montreaux show, though the audio/video isn't that great. But great vocals and show on Prince's part!

Prince is GORGEOUS. I'm inspired. GOD is GREAT. Is there anything else to say? lol

Le Nu Morning sounded pretty amazing. My favourite that I saw with my own eyes was one nite alone Manchester (1st night) or the infamous "Hat" Indigo2 aftershow, was insane!

There are PLENTY of videos out there for the last ten years. It just depends on what you consider high quality and whether or not you know where to look to find them. .... I, of course, don't have a clue.

This has been getting on my nerves at some recent shows I have attended. Why can't people just enjoy the show instead of ruining it for others?

Thankfully I stopped caring about getting close to the stage years ago. I'd rather be near a first level railing with an unobstructed view looking slightly down on the stage. You get a better view of everything that's going on that way. However, if somebody is holding up a camera/phone in front of me, or somebody I'm attending with, they will hear about it. I did not pay to watch your stupid two inch screen.

Totally agree. He seemed so happy to be there ! Just a shame they had to stop at midnight because i'm sure he still had more to give that night
