MGMT............Especially Electric Feel which has a Prince sound all over it but with a new edge

NERD..........especially the recent collaboration with Nelly Furtado

Or what musical direction u like to see prince go?

Sadly, the people that sound more like Prince than Prince are folks like Chromeo, Justin Timberlake, Maxwell, and even Beck, and dare I say Ghostland Observatory (who are big Prince fans also).

I'm not sure where I ever thought Prince's music would go artistically, but man - for me, it's went off into a fucking ditch in the past 10 or 11 years. I can still listen to Rave Un2/In2, but after that - it's like a mine field. Careful where you step.

The difference w/ those people and Prince is that they still have a muse.

I'm not sure Prince really follows electronic music enough to get this kinda stuff you're referencing, no matter how mainstream it is. No doubt he's come across Lady Gaga, but I don't think modern electronic and dance music is his forte unfortunately. Not even black artists like Felix da Housecat seem to have made an impression.

Obviously he keeps an ear open for what's making money, so maybe if this kind of stuff continues to make an impact in the USA? I mean, he'll still be a decade behind the times, but anything's better than copying the Black Eyed Peas surely
